what is your price range, get the best gun for your range, and dont let looks confused you, I may be a newbie, but I still have learned many lessons. Compact is a nice gun, shutter is also a nice gun for 200 more..

Well for a short upgrade from a Rebel. I HIGHLY recommend the Pirahna Pro (G3) or Spyder's Xtra or Shutter. I work at EZ Paintball in Jackson, TN and I see alot of people who have purchased any of those guns getting ALOT of satisfaction out of them and I have heard VERY few complaints about them and that includes 0 repairs (although repairs are free). I think the Spyder has a bit more of a history of being a quality product but the Pirahana's are Kingman's #1 competitor for a VERY GOOD reason. And...... none of those guns will break the bank, or paint for the most part. They run EXCELLENT on C02 and even BETTER on Nitro. They offer great opportunities for upgrades. I do not suggest leaping from a Rebel to a cocker or higher.

i rebel is just a spyder clone pretty much. moving to a spyder would be like moving from a spyder TL+ to a Spyder Shutter. My rebel has some upgrades and is equal to or better than a stock TL+. I was really thinking cocker, Mag, Or Impulse.

How long have you had your rebel? How long have you been playing paintball? Just because your gun is "newbieish" doesn't mean you should upgrade.

I'm sure you would be way more content with a mag or impulse, they are both reliable(and cheaper in the long run.) Cockers are great performers but can be finicky. But, I would say impulse is the way to go, just because they function so well on Co2. Be warned, once you get a higher end gun the paint starts to fly ;) I don't even have enough dough to feed my mag right now, LOL.

I am getting a mag. they seem reliable and they seem to be able to keep up with most guns out there. correct, sandstorm?
i moved from a stingray 2 to a cocker...bug boost and after 1 years play and im very happy with a cocker but when its workin dont screw with it.....ok what ever you want but if your on a team and play front you should get a impulse
fear my impulse

no, but it would be funny if they did and the next game you bunker them with a newbie gun.
lol i would **** my pants if he did!!! And if that person was a pro and he had a angel or a timmy!!!!

If you're not concerned with it running off of CO2, get a Automag RT Pro. Those guns are sweet. Fire quick, reliable, and just fun to use. They're a high quality gun, but cost a lot, at least to me. They also only run off of nitrogen or high pressure air.
Otherwise, I'd say go with the classic .68 automag. It's an excellent semi and you can get them used for a pretty decent price.

if your a newbie you really shouldnt be wanting to use a autococker.. i'd suggest a spyder em1 or some of the other guns that people have suggested.

In that case, I'd get a good mask first.
Mag or cocker...shoot both and decide.

I have owned the same minimag for the last 4 years. During that time I had one malfunction, the wire that holds the ball in the barrel bent down the barrel causeing the bolt to jam. This confused me enough to keep me out of one game but was easily remedied. (its probably the cheapest part on the gun)
A friend of mine used to play with a cocker and I was always very impressed with its performance. Once he had his $600 worth of aftermarket parts in it, it shot as well or better than my stock mag. He did spend alot of time tinkering with it though. Eventually he tired of messing with it and bought a mag just like mine.
If you want dependability and consistency out of the box, get the mag. If you dont mind spending the money and dont mind tinkering with you gun between games get the cocker, as with all the upgrades you can get, it may give slightly better performance.

well i dont think i want an impulse, what i think i am gunna do is go for a mag, upgrade it some, would a mag with a nice barrel be able to compete with some electros out there?
Guesswho?

You live in the Augusta area right? Well if you wanted to be different, get a cocker, but Mags arent as complicated, and Bey sells them for cheap, and obviously he could fix them, so yeah get a mag
