I know the smart parts AA is a great barrel (from what I hear) but does it make a difference if it is a screw on two piece or the kind that you just press together (2001 model)??? does this affect the performance or anything? I can get this "press together" model of the AA for $40. should I do it? thanks for the help and give me ALL your thoughts!!

it doesnt affect ANY thing at all, if you can find the press on i guess you could get it. but i would recommend the newer model.

The older 2k1 AA goes for under $40 on PBGear. Get that one. There's no difference at all between the 2k2 AA and 2k1 AA except for the 2k2's expanded options.

what are the expanded options that you're talking about?

You can unscrew the front on the 2k2 AA and replace it with a Teardrop front, or have fronts of different colors. That's it, really.

oh. that's not worth an extra 30 bucks if you ask me!!! well anyway so they shoot the same and everyting right? so you think I should just go ahead and get the 2001 model? is it better than the teardrop?

It's cheaper than the Teardrop, at least on PBGear. So I'd say, yes, it's better. :P
