I'm having trouble finding a 14' Smart Parts All-American for a Pro/Carbine and I was curious...

I've heard that the Pro/Carbine and the A-5 use the same barrel threads, does that mean I can use an A-5 barrel on my Pro/Carbine?

The problem is I've also heard that the A-5 comes with a barrel adaptor that lets you use a Pro/Carbine or Prolite barrel on your A-5, but that it doesn't necessarily work the other way around (you can't use an A-5 barrel on a Pro/Carbine).

I'd like to know for sure whether you can use an A-5 barrel on a Pro/Carbine before I spend $75.00 on an A-5 barrel that I can't use.

a5 and carbine threads are the same. You just gotta make sure the barrel will fit through your foregrip. , you can always just cut the forgrip off or sand the back of the barrel to fit if u really wanted too.

wouldn't that make sense? I'm guessing yes, but wouldn't that also mean that the Pro Carbine could also take the A-5's flatline?:eyes: correct me if i'm wrong

The A-5 doesn't have its own unique barrel threads, it has a built in barrel adaptor system. The barrel adaptor that the A-5 comes with uses the Pro/Carbine/Prolite type threads.

The Pro/Carbine wouldn't be able to take the A-5 flatline because the A-5's flatline uses the A-5's barrel adaptor's threads, and not the actual barrel threads.

What I'm assuming is when you buy an A-5 barrel your actually buying a barrel with Pro/Carbine/Prolite threads, the type A-5's default barrel adaptor accepts.

Am I right?
