i was playing and i was leaning out shooting at someone behind a bunker. then another player came around to my front side. while i was shooting and was shot by me because i couldn't see him because where he came from. i shot him while shooting at the other person and there is a rule where i play that you can't shoot someone within 10 feet. so i was kicked out for the day i don't get this. wat should have i said when this happened. this is unfair because i was just starting my day what should i do next time if it happens again

Wow...try punctuation and use multiple sentences...I have no idea what you just said to even try and help you.

well it was kind of hard to read your story, use some punctuation in there.

But if that guy ran in front of your line of fire thats his fault, not yours. You should have just told a ref you were shooting at someone else and he ran in front of you. From what the ref saw it might have looked like you aimed at him and not another guy farther away.

I think the 10 foot rule is a courtesy, not a rule! Its bull you got kicked out. But i guess you just have to listen to the rules in the begining when the ref briefs you and just be more agressive by approaching the ref. It wont kill you if you argue with the ref!

well after the game...walk up to the ref and tell him what REALLY happened. refs understand(well most of em), im a ref.

I see where the ref was coming from on that one I hate to say (ten feet? Wow, that is short range for most fields locally it is 20ft). It is sort of like driving, you are responsible within reason of what is in front of you. If you couldn't see him coming from the flank, then you really weren't demonstrating good gun control (nor he sense). I think you should have been warned though, not ejected but in essence, you are still responsible for at least trying to prevent such instances...

I beleive these "can't shoot anyone unless they're 20 feet away" and"no bunkering people" is absurb. maybe if its a newb you shouldn't bunker them but if its someone who is ranting and raving about how great they are and how great their impulse you should be able to bunker them.

Here is the statement given to me from the fields why you have a surrender rule in paintball: "People who play rec ball once a month or so don't want to be plastered by paint at close range and somebody might be turned away by such actions taking away potential business". It is a courtesy/rule.

As for behind, if he ran from behind, he didn't shoot him if he was firing forward, physically impossible the way you worded it. Also, you can see somebody with peripheal vision, coming up no matter how little you are leaning around the bunker unless you are focused one one one in your mind (not a good idea, always look for potential threats). My point was that he should have been aware of what was going on, as should the other guy have been...
