Like, when someone is selling a barrel they say like the front or the back, what's that mean in relation to barrels?

If it's a two-piece barrel there are, well, two pieces to it. The back, which screws into the marker, and the front, which screws into the back.

also theres some theory that a ss back is better than aluminum back

and an aluminum front is better than a full ss barrel

i still dont know if these are true

SS back and aluminum back have the same performance if honed the same. Same with the front.

I always thought the gimmick with SS was you don't need to worry about the threads breaking down. Could be wrong.

You wont break aluminum threads unless you actually try or the barrel really sucks.
