Does this make sense?

A while ago I got a 12 inch J&J ceramic barrel. It seemed to have a lot of porting on it. It had some at the end of the barrel and a second set or porting holes closer to the middle of the gun. I thought that the porting near the middle of the gun would allow co2 to escape too early cause the ball not to go as far. So I taped over the holes to prevent the gas from escaping. I don't know about range but accuracy does seem to be a little better when the second set of holes are taped. Should covering the holes improve range or accuracy?

I dont know, sounds good. make sure that the holes you cover are the same all around, or else the ball will get thrown a different direction.
