Question about Shocktech and Dye drops

I'm trying to figure out which drop to get for my imp, that 20 ounce co2 is just to long. My local paintball store (who sponsors my team) says that I have to get an adapter block to use a shocktech or a dye drop. now i know thats not true because i've seen many shocktechs without adaptors. But what about the dye drops? do I really need a block for that, or cant i just screw my asa onto it? someone help!

You dont need an adapter for the dye either.

i would get a shocktech drop & an on/off asa(CP has a good one)

Cockerkid: You dont? Thats wierd because the one in my shop has the little rail thingys on the side where you would mount an adaptor.

NYR: Yeah, but thats my problem, i dont need an on/off, i've already got one on my CO2. thats why i just want to mount the ASA on.

Oh darn, I just took a look at the dye drop again. I got it confused with something else, sorry. I was wrong.

Oh, and does the shocktech come with screws so I can attatch it to my trigger frame?
