Tourny play is simply tourniment paintball.
I beaver tail prevents the bolt from smacking you in the face. Gun with rear cocking have these. So do cockers. But on cockers it does serve other purposes. It prevents you from changing the volocity during play. That is why they are required for touriments. It does nothing to prevent overshooting.
Over shooting is were someone continues to fire on someone after they have been shot. A lot of field have a 3-5 ball limit to the amount of times you can shoot someone.

The beaver tail has a couple roles. The intended purpose is to keep you from shooting hot shots. Without the beaver tail in place (on the autococker) one could push on the cocking rod at the same time as pulling the trigger and get a super hot shot. The beaver tail is also there fr protection. It protects the cocking rod from being bent and it helps in keeping the bolt from hitting you.
so on the piranha sts g2 does it do any think but protect u from being hit in the face??

Yep
so does it just protect your face???
The stock beaver tails don't do the job there's lots of room to push the rod forward with your finger
