Hey wuts up, if all you had was WD-40, and your local pbshop was out of oil for like 4 weeks and you just got done playing a long game would you rather put that or no oil at all?

I would try to borrow from someone else.
If not I would just wait.

Um I dont know bout WD 40, but I hear a lot of people at my field saying that they use vegetable or canola oil with good results, but I would rather use any kind of lubricant than none at all.

I use it all the time. cleans up nice and doesn't leave a lot of residue. If you have a foamie in your gun you might not want to use it, but otherwise go to town.

If your bolt has o=rings, DO NOT use WD-40. It will disolver them and make the britle. Also DO NOT use Vegetable or Canola oil either. Sure, it is REALLY good when you put it on at first, but then after about 2 days it will be like glue, all stick and junk. if you have no oil, use Transmission oil, or just go to a Walmart and buy some gun (real ones) oil. Like RemLube, or Nitro Lube

You guys must be kidding, WD-40 in a paintball gun IS NOT GOOD! It eats o-rings!

It depends, if you are planning on playing another game very soon then i would use wd-40, but if my gun is just gonna sit there then i would just clean it and oil it when i get oil

JUst curious, where are you guys getting the o-rings that get eaten by wd-40. I've used it on my mag many times with no ill results. I use only the rings from agd's parts kit and change them only once a year. I am not disputeing what you said, just want to make sure none of the people I play with mess up thier guns if they decide to emulate my cleaning practices.

Edited to say- after I clean it I always gas up with the barrel off and fire it about 10 times to clear away any exess oil and lube. Do you think this might be why i dont have a problem with it? I would be especially interested in hearing from other mag owners about this.
