ot: threads going to the top with no new posts?

Has anyone else noticed that random threads keep being put to the top and marked as new even though nothing new has been posted? Ive noticed in here and the pump forum where i hang out most. I was just wondering if anyone saw it too.

i think that happens when someone wants to put the thread back on top so they post on it to renew it then delete their post

I dont think so. i first noticed it in the pump forum and the post was only 3 or 4 down and it was a really pointless post and the other ones Ive seen dont really have a reason to be upped. Im pretty sure if you post and delete it it goes back to were it is.
