I'm getting a TL+ soon, so I was just wondering, what's a good, fairly cheap reg to get for it? And if you know a site where I can get it from? Thankies

a nice reg for the money is the PMI Pure Energy reg. It's only 40 bucks at http://www.Pbgear.net

yeazh I tossed my wgp reg on my cocker for a PMI PE just cause it was externally adjustable and it felt nicer in the hand and for those who say it's not too good think about it it can't be that bad it is stock on a dye autococker it might not be the best out there but it works and thats what counts right?

It says at paintballgear.com that this reg is a "secondary" regulator. Someone explain what this means. Is it second string, backup to better regulators? :D

I was talking to a guy the other day about some equipment and he said that you really don't need a Reg if you're using a Preset tank. If you're marker normally operates between 800 and 850 psi, and the preset tank releases at the same rate, you wouldn't need it, unless you want to go low pressure. Someone Slap me if I'm wrong here.

yeah if you're on a preset tank, the tank usually runs at 850 psi. the gun runs at 650-700 psi, so you really don't need an inline(secondary) reg unless you plan on going low pressure.

Preset meaning....?

some of the "budget" n2 tanks are preset output tanks. This means that the regulator on the tank is set at one psi, usually 800-850 psi. With an adjustable n2 tank, the psi on the reg can be adjusted. Now when you have a nitro tank, and an inline reg, it's called double regulation. The Primary reg is the reg on the tank, and the secondary reg is the inline reg. ALthough the preset tanks can't be adjusted, you're still double regulating because tehre are still two regulators. So the one that the air goes through first(tank reg) becomes the primary reg, and the one that the air passes through second(inline reg) becomes the secondary reg.

Ah, well I have a 20 oz CO2 tank, so I'm guessing it's not preset

Co2 tanks i think put out like 800 psi too, but tha'ts not because of a reg. so now your inline reg is the primary reg, but just call it the inline reg.:D

First off, dont get the TL+, go with a PMI Piranah STS G2. Then get the PMI regulator and your set. PMI has the best customer service in the world. Kingman spyders arnt as good stock as piranah stock are. And you can upgrade the piranah just like any spyder.

the valve and bolts are different i think..and that can be a big deal if you're running low pressure

i dont know if you consider 94 dollars cheap. but i am getting a palmer stabilizer regulator with a ring mount that replaces your current bottom line adapter, cuz i really dont feel like using it as a handle type thing.

i was wondering about that too. I want to get a Palmer Stabalizer for my Spyder. Is there a performance difference if it's mounted vertical or horizontal (replacing the bottom line adapter)?

First I was gonna get an ex chamber, but then i decided to get a reg. I'm gonna get the PMI Pure energy to use with the 12 oz co2, is that a good idea, or am I wasting my money on the reg? To replace the job of the ex chamber, im gonna get an ant siphon kit.

A damn fool

man, wouldn't it kick if SP sold the maxflow in and off gun/nitro setup?

Silent Knight

that would be very cool. I wouldn't mind having a Max-Flo Reg! I think that reg is sick!
