Velocity Queston, jut a thought

I jsut set my gun, and my presure is jsut under 300. But i have a question. If i put the heaviest main body spring in, wouldnt it allow me to shoot at a lower psi? The way i figure, if the bolt moves faster because the spring is heavier, then wouldnt i not need as much pressure to make the ball go 300psi? Its jsut a htought, it probably makes no sense, but hey, o well. Cna u explain this whole concept to me, so i can figure it all out? Thanks a lot

the object of LP is to get as much air to pass as fast as possible at the loest pressure......if you put a heavier striker spring in..you let the valve stay open longer(dwell) wich will cause a drop in velocity....you don't want that you want it to stay open as short as possible..but passing as much air as you can...(volume)...
