Not all the time. I agree that local is very good for small parts. like 3 ways, stuff like that but markers? it depends. lets say your marker wuz 150 us dollas. with exchange it would be approx. 231 cdn. plus shipping. if here it sells for 250. than buy it here, if they sell it for 299 consider buyin from the states. shipping and brokerage. you should always and always use USPS NOT UPS. they charge you brokerage and GST AND PST AND CRAP. usps only charges gst at most with 5 bux brokerage. example.
Intimidator 650 us so about 1001 cdn plus shipping. getting it here would cost about 1050 including shipping and customs. to buy here from local you ask? 1300!! plus gst! thats right folks! 250 savings. trust me, i've been trading for over 4 years in the us with big and small stuff and i know everything. (cocky huh? hehehehe)
basically, cheap guns, acc, cheaper local. high end guns, high end stuff, better to buy from states.

All Makes good sense Plasman, But I'm a strong believer in supporting your local shop. even if it does cost a little more. and maybe if we all did buy locally they good order more products therefore there costs would be less and hopefully pass it on to us. I might be wishful thinking but Pba in edmonton would if they could I know it.

Yes Odie. I agree as well, but you see why i say what i say is because MY local *mrpaintball cough* is only out to rip off people because one of them is on Bob's team.MAYBE IM WRONG....but thats just how i see it. like i said, smaller things are always good to purchase locally, but for 250 and or more in difference, i would have to go with ol' uncle sam's stores. but i guess, each individual must look at their own situations and decide which one is better for them.

I'm buying a Mag off ebay.

Are there any charges, taxes, fees, customs, ANY SH*T THAT WILL MAKE ME PAY MORE? What's the worst that could happen while the marker is crossing the border?

if you can get the seller to ship it as a gift, you will not have to pay for taxes. however you still will have to pay for brokerage

brokerage is a fee they charge so they can clear your package in customs in a day

Can you give me an estimate on how much it will cost to clear my package? It costs $400 and is fairly heavy, I'd say around 5-6lbs.
