I'm getting an Impulse, and for Tournaments, what is the most popular barrel size, for front and back players. (I'm getting the freak).

i play with a 12, and i see it as being the perfect size but i havent tried a 10, that would be cool too

For back players, is 18 a bit large? Are there any disadvantages of having a barrel 18 inches? (Performance-wise).

Currently I'm using a 14 for front and it aint too bad except for spiking your barrel into the ground when you dive, but other than that it's ok. I personally think 12 is the best size for any position, and 18 would be impossible to navigate around your bunker, plus your efficiency would go to hell.

What do you mean by saying your effeciency will go to hell?

I used to think 12, but now I'm going with 10". I'm using a 9.5" barrel right now and it works great. Plus I'm a front man, so I don't need the extra length.

In tourny play there is no advantage in having an 18' barrel. For woods ball, it would help quiet the gun down, but your not going to be sneaking around in speedball.
