Rent out a building, get a business license, get trained or find a certified airsmith, buy markers, jack up the price, sell them.

$100k won't get you as far as you'd expect. You've got rent, utilities, salaries for a few people...plus some money for you to live on, for a year or so, untill the store starts turning a profit.
if it were me, I'd hire a consultant, who'd owned a small business before, and could help me out with all the logistical issues of running a business, ie. taxes, ordering, inventory, billing, etc...
oh, and get a good business plan together, before you go the bank and ask for a small business loan.
one more edit, Cockerkid...if you could start up a store anywhere in MA, where would it be?

They really need to make a forum for this kind of thing judging from how many people are planning on making a field or starting a shop.

dont forget tools for working on different guns. Also, small parts (orings, burst disks, allen wrenches, and, etc...) Rental Guns, Netting, Inflateable bunkers(if budget allows...nobody likes those crappy paintball places with rusty barrels for bunkers) Parts for every gun, different ones..cockers, mags, angels, etc..uhm....oh yea, paint...lots and lots of paint. And lets not forget rental of co2 tanks and a cascade air compressor for filling tanks.(NOT CHEAP)
Which means you'd need a wholesalers licence, business licence. They dont seem to be to hard to get as far as paint goes, diablo and severe just LOVE to distribute feild paint....well, every shop around here has plenty of them in stock
Well, im sure i've still missed a few things..but the other guy was right when he said thats not really as much money as you think. Just add up all of that stuff, plus rent/utilities and see what you're left with...hopefully you wont end up in the hole :P

You can get around the part of your own salary by living at home and by opening it close to your parents house. That way you don't have to rent an apartment and don't have to pay for food. Also you could prolly run it by yourself for a awhile and not have to pay other people. You said it was just a project so those are reasonable options, they are in the real world as well. You don't have to pay a huge renting fee for the building if you stay away from the major cities, and maybe you want to set up near an already established field, that way you won't have to have a gimmick to get people to come and you may get business from the field and its customers.
