ok you pull a trigger
that hits the sear
that releases the striker
which carries the bolt forward (above the striker)
the striker hits a pin
the pin moves back
air goes through the valve
up into the bolt
out the bolt
hits hits the ball
the ball flies forward
out the barrel
and hits a player.
I THINK....I may be wrong but there were no other responses so I gave it a shot.
for a spyder anyways.

Most blow backs work as above but cockers, and other high end guns are VERY different in their own ways. Same principles but different styles.

Cockers work almost the same as blowbacks (what paint bulley explained the working of) except for when air goes through the valve, it doesn't blow air out the back to recock it, it uses the 3way and ram on the front to open the bolt again and recock the gun.
On automags, the regulator (silver thing on the back) filles up with pressure, then it is sealed in there. The bolt is positioned in the valve like a cork in a bottle. The bolt is behind a sear, when you pull the trigger it releases the sear and the pressure in the valve pushes out the bolt, pushing it forward, until the bolt is all the way out the valve and then all the pressure comes out in one blast to shoot the ball. A spring then pushes the bolt back into position.
Angels, bushmasters, impulses and bunch of other electros work similiar to a blowback. But instead of a spring to push the striker forward, it has a ram or a solenoid that is electronically controlled to push it forward.

ok you pull a trigger = the thing you put your finger on
that hits the sear = thing behind trigger
that releases the striker =thing above sear attached to bolt
which carries the bolt forward (above the striker)
the striker hits a pin = the pin is the thing in the way of
the air flow which get's pushed out of a hole to let air in(looks like a pin)
the pin moves back = out of the hole (valve)
air goes through the valve = the thing the pin was in
up into the bolt = look in your barrel, it is the thing way back in there
out the bolt = move toward where the ball drops down
hits hits the ball = round thing with water based paint in it
the ball flies forward = round thing goes the oppisite direction of backwards
out the barrel = long round tube like thing
and hits a player = guy on opposite team
that help?
