I used to advice people to buy the STS, cause I have one and I know it works very well.

But now, I've got a new system. Draw a line on a piece of paper, in the middle so that there are two halves exactly the same size. on one side of the line write Spyder, on the other, Piranah.

Tape the piece of paper on the wall. Walk about six or seven feet away from the paper, take a dart, turn your back to the paper and toss the dart over your shoulder. Repeat this until the dart lands on either Spyder or Piranah.

You can't go wrong.

Yeah, basically it all comes down to looks or feel. There are even similarities in these two categories with both the Tl+ and the STS G2. Again, which ever you like best. Dont listen to people who say that one is a lot better than the other, the differences between them are neligable.

Well, if I HAD to choose between the two, I would say the Piranah becaus they are better than a spyder when they first come out of the box. Also the STS is only about $144 whil the TL+ is $160. The STS is just as upgradeable as the TL+ and PMI has better customer service than Kingman. In my opinion the STS is the better buy. Some people say that the STS is more consistent with Co2 and is more accurate, while many say that the TL+ is faster fireing. I would realy recomend the STS because im sure you will be very pleased with the purchase.

I have an sts g2 and i love it. The only problem i had is the sear wore out after a whole summer of play , but pmi sent me a better laser etched one free of charge. They even payed for shipping. 6 days later i was back in the game. Pmi has better customer support in my opinion.

DON'T GET A SPYDER! HERE'S WHY...

Non-standard hose fittings, fake regs and expansion chambers (safety hazard!), offset bottomline holes, crappy grips, low-quality annodizing, fake low-pressure chambers, made in sweat shops in Taiwan, and to top it all off - Kingman has terrible customer service!

If you buy one, you're stuck with it! If you need something in the price range of a Spyder Compact, get a Piranha VTL. Instead of a Spyder TL+, get a Piranha STS. Thinking of a Sputter? I wouldn't! Purchase a Piranha EXT! Want the new electronic Spyder - the EM1? Whoa, I don't care if it's the last electro in the world, get a Cocker or Mag and trick it out with the money left over! DON'T GO BUGGIN', GO FISHIN'!

hmmm you think he likes piranhas ? I would say go buy shovel for all the sh1t he's shoveling is getting deep :)
I think both of them can perform just a happy or just as crappy as the next take muck's advice there is little to no differnce until you move up in class of paintball guns.

Sorry but not all of us are swimming in money like you Veitas, so we dont have the luxery of moving up to a "class" of paintball guns as you said it. But i must strongly sugest that you buy the STS. The TL+ is not that great. The sts has the ram air chamber wich will make it more consistant. I say go with the STS. Also the STS is better out of the box than the spyder is when it comes to accuracy. All that and the STS is about 20 bucks less than the TL!
