I have a stock Impulse that I bought recently.... I also bought a Dye Boomstick for it (14") I got the barrel and when I tryed to put it on... I noticed that it was hard to line the threads up on it... when I finaly did the Barrel Screwed in most of the way very tightly and then stoped short of were it should be... I let some of my friends try it on there Impulse (also stock) and they cuold get it on fine... any ideas... or has anyone heard of any freakish things liek this happening with some impulses... and should I worry about other barrels not fitting right?

Thanx

Sounds a bit funky. Impulses have tricky threads they are very thin so be careful or you might just rip them right out. But anywho did you compare your threads with your friends it's possible yours was a mis thread but very doubtful.

Stupid question, but did you get impulse threads? If so then your cross threading. Don't force it... Ever. You will wreck your gun and barrel. Screw the wrong way (the way you would take a barrel off) until you feel it click. Right after try to screw it in.

sometimes the threads are just screwed up, you have to "re-thread" it, usually this is just done with ASAs, just forcing it on and off until it goes on correctly. I am not sure if I would recommend doing it to your barrel though, because it could easily jack things up. Did your stock barrel fit on just fine? If so thread it on and off a few times, and if not do that anyway, dont force it on and off, but just keep twisting it on and off, using the stock barrel will be a bit safer than using the boomy.

keep trying and take ur time putting it in, sometime when i rush to put my barrel in it goes about 1 turn and stops. Remember that imp threads are 2 seperate. What i mean is there are 2 sets of threads on it, the start of each are at opposite ends. So maybe one is getting locked in before the other lines up.

When i first got my Dye boomstick it did the same thing, the threads just need worked in a lil bit. Don't force it, just keep trying it, do NOT force it. :)

i had the same problem with my boomy once it came in. first make sure there is no dirt or anything in any of the threads in your gun. allso check for any stripping going on. put the barrel on the threads as straight as you think it can go and then jently screw it in.hes right DO NOT FORCE IT you dont want any stripped threads ESPECIALLY in your gun.
