Well, this is a thread on how you got hooked on paintball that first memorable moment. Ill start with mine.

My brother purchased a pmi trracer and he let me shoot it and thats how i got hooked.

played woodsball by my house with some friends. first gun was a 20.00 BE blade, and i didnt even have a mask (I know thats stupid) we used safety goggles instead. I was lucky i had atleast those things sometimes. Then looked into rebel (crap) and bought a spyder e99 and bout a month later sold it and joined the cocker family. ewww i love my cocker!:agree:

my parents bought my cousin and me Talons for xmas. My cousin and I played a few games in my yard and I was hooked. Can't say that much for my cousin though.

my friends brought me to a field and i rented a rental gun, but i wasnt really hook until my friends got a gun then i got one. :D :)

I went out with some ROTC and Army buddies and we played a couple of games of outlaw ball (I borrowed a pump). I loved it, thought about getting a pump then opted for a semi (Tornado) and finally ended up with my current setup now two years later. I still love playing with a pump though in the woods, nice to have the adrenaline flowing of knowing that one shot has to count, that sold me.

Well, lets see, i always loved shooting video games, and thought it would be cool to do something like that, but not dangerous (Don't worry, im not a psycho, about to go around shootin things up). Ta Da, my friend asked me if i wanted to come paintballing and i said sure, then the addiction began. The experience got even better when i used an actual gun, not a cheap rental thats breaks balls every second. of course, at first i sucked, i got out first, because i just stood in the back not knowing what to do. But today, my friends are always tellin me how good i am:cool:

Well, I had friends who played paintball before my little brother started, but once my brother started, I wanted to play. It's a thing I do, because I'm like a bit of a tomboy and I wanna see if I could beat my brother at games. I didn't really think I'd get hooked to paintball, but after my first game, I was. It was just gawd damn fun. And I've always been into shooting games, too. Guess I'm just violent like that :D

My friends were in boyscouts (lol, I quit.. It was too eh. =/) and their troop was going to go PBing. Well, at first I thought, eh, sorta dumb, then suddenly I changed my mind and went. Well, I enjoyed paintball, but I wasn't exactly hooked. My friends who invited me to go, said they were getting guns, so I thought hey, if I get one, we will have something to do, and I ended up getting hooked.

Ive liked to shoot and hunt and play shootin games, but i kinda stopped huntin when i moved into town. and games just got boring. so paintball was next best things. Now my friends and i are starting a paintballing team.:wave:

I started by playing Paintbrawl 3 on the computer, then I had to play for real.

well my friend got a gun and told me about it, and about how the game is played and stuff. So i asked my parents if i could buy a gun, they said no. Finally after about a year of begging them i was alowed to buy a gun, i talked to my friend and he sugested the tippman m98. I started washing cars and stuff and eventually was able to by a gun. The day i bought the gun i played a couple rounds of 1v1 at my friends house. Ever since that day ive been hooked. I then talked two of my friends into buying guns, then more people bought guns, now theres about 10 guys at my school who play and i'm more hooked than ever.

my friend got the idea to go on his birthday, all of our friends chickened out except me, 1 other guy. i went to field of fire in socal, i remember the first time i got hit too, what a rush.
i remember i came out of one the bigger bunkers("hardrock" if any of you have been to FOF) to cover my teammates getting out & behind the bunker, unfornately i exposed too much body, the guy too 2 shots, i got hit once in the should, i curled up, grabbing my shoulder, tucked my head down, got hit on the top of my head. now i have a spyder Imagine, but im getting a black magic :love:

I remember my first days of paintball. My youngest bro was saw the talon at the army navy store and wanted one for his birthday. I told him if my parents bought him one for his birthday I was going to go out and buy one so we could duel. Well to my surprise my parents bought him the paintgun. It was funny as soon as he got it my entire immediate family grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, cousins walked to the field by our house and watched the talon fire.

The next week I bought a talon with the stupid brass eagle deluxe masks. The first game my bro and I wanted to see how it felt to get hit so we faced off across this flat field with no cover at all. We soon found out that we faced off too far apart. As we closed in I ducked a couple of paintballs and got hit in the head. The stupid brass eagle mask had no coverage for the forehead so my ears rung. The second game I got nailed in the kneecap forcing me into a limp. The third game I finally tagged my bro out; however I forget where. We started playing more intense when my other bro got a talon for his birthday. Let the fun begin!

Those were good times. Just me and my bros for 6 months. I bought a stingray (so much for the edge I thought it was goingto give me). My bros still took me out easily because of the stingray's stupid accuracy. It was worse than the talon. I traded around the stingray to my bros. Whoever had the stingray really didn't have much of an advantage lol. We would put whoever had the stingray in our treehouse and he would just unload tons of paint at us as we tried to push up across this flat field with few bunkers to get in range with the talons. We might of shot hot, because we didn't have a chronograph.

I remember one day when me and my bro's semi- autos broke down and we had to use the talons again. My other bro had his mirage working. For some reason when he had the headphones on listening to his favorite songs while playing paintball he got weirdly accurate. He would nail us in 1 or 2 shots everytime we tried to snapshoot him. It was very funny how he was at the top of the tree (it's just a seat on top of the highest branch two1/2 stories high)just listening to tunes taking us out.

We all upgraded. I had a bruizer pro, my younger bro had a mirage (canadian paintgun) my youngest had an f4 illustrator. These neighborhood kids came over to us when we had our first speedball field. They wanted to play in the grass field by our treehouse first. We toasted them. Total annihilation. They only won once and that was because 2 of our teamates guns broke down.

My youngest bro and I signed up for this ghetto tournament. It was just a bunch of neighborhood kids 10 teams. We were almost undefeated. Two times we lost it was very controversial. The refs were mostly newbies and they didn't like to get shot at accidently. The penalty for a stray shot was way too high haha. The first time we lost my bro got bonus balled and just as I tried to stop the guy from bunkering me. The idiot 18 inch barrel and shroud for the autococker is a bad combo. The shroud came off as I whirled around to counterbunker my bunkeree. I shot the shroud in mid air instead of the guy who was bunkering me. The second time we lost it was the final game. Everyone got out (I wasn't there because I had to go to stupid walmart to work) and it was just my bro and one bad guy. My bro nailed him; however before the refs could get to him the paint that was all over the guy's barrel was gone. At the end of the game the player bunkered my bro. My bro knew he was coming and unloaded on the guy just as he came around the bunker. Unfortunately he was low on air and the 5 paintballs he let loose on the guy all just bounced off. At first my bro thought he was untouched until the guy pointed out a splat on his pod. My bro never felt or heard any paintball hit there. At least we got in second place heh.

I was at payzants with my dad about 3 years ago, he was lookin at stupid **** like a new DOOR!!!! and things like that, i went on my own and started looking around, noticed a paintball display. went and started looking, i remembered i had 400 or so in the bank... I bought the stuff, went up to my dad, and said, dad can i get this, he said hell no, i was like too late.

My dad only lets me play paintball, because my brother does, so he makes me follow him around for "safety" reasons, but the first time I got shot, he wasn't there, so screw that. Getting hit doesn't hurt so much, seriously, but thinking about squirrels curling up from getting hit in the shoulder and then end up getting hit for a second time in the head is pretty funny lol

i had never played before, the guy was less than 20 feet away, what can i say? and i had a procarbine rental, i could shoot like 5 bps, but we had a fun time, i got better as time progressed, i play frontline/middle sniper now, playing back is no fun. the kill i loved most is when my dad came back into the game, i gave him a chance to get out w/o getting hit, he came out of the bunker, started shooting, so, here comes 13 pballs in 1 second, 7 in his chest/belly(he's got a big belly too) and 6 in his back/lower back, it was funny since he was shooting from off field before, so i shot him in the shin from about 100 ft away.

I went paintballing for the first time for my 13th birthday with some friends. Two years later I finally strated getting a little more money and I bought a Model 98. I'm now getting $160 in upgrades and averaging about 3 kills per game. When I went yesterday I got 12 kills in one game.

My best friend talked to some kids at school who played and so we thought we'd try it out so we looked on the internet and learned all this crap about paintball for like 6 months before we even played our first game. Then we both got Piranhas and I dunno about him but as soon as I could feel the adrenaline pumping and the paintballs flying past my head I was hooked.

about 3 years ago my 2 cousins got BE pumps for x-mas and since we are so close I had to go too, so my mom went to Wal-mart and bout 1 mask(BE deluxe mask) and 3 guns (BE Vulcan) they were on clerance for 5 bucks...anyway we went playing and I just hid behind a rock, a year later I got a blade for x-mas so I invited down 3 of my friends who paintball and I still wasn't really hooked.

So then my cousin (not the one I went paintballing with) invited me to go with his church and play so I said "ya" and when we got there they had model 98's for eveyone to use...and the rest is history...I bought a tippy 98 custom and I play every 2 weeks. (and I bought a better mask-thermal JT nVader) and have my own team...THE BOUNTY HUNTERS


If my friend breaks a guitar string, he cuts his finger. If I break a bass string everybody within a 5 mile radius dies.

lol...people at my church were so scared of playing...I took one of them and he played 1 game and got shot in the mask and never played again. I still use the mask i got with the players pack i ordered when i first started playing, even though i have a JT flex-7 IZE goggles that I use.....I dunno why i just love my PMI x-ray mask. i just recently ordered a chrome thermal lense for it..

my friend's relatives paintballed, and he was always telling us about it, so I decided to get on some websites and do some reasearch about the game. It took me like 3 months to convince my dad that I was gonna do more civilized things than vandalize with my almighty Talon/

My dad came home from work one day and said... John you wanna go to a thing called splat a spook? I said splat a spook? What is it? He said paintball. Whats paintball i asked? He said i guess its with guns that shoot paint... So we end up going and it was the funnest time i had in all my life. I think if i didnt go then i would have never been as happy as i am. Nor be as tired as wehn i come home from playing.

Years ago I had a babysitter, and her lil bro played so I got intrested, then back when i was 11 my friend got a gun, so I got one and me and my friends got hooked

I started playing in the early 90's with some friends. We all got splatmaster pumps. (This was before Semi Auto's were widely available. We used to play outlaw ball on 200 acres of land and have day/night long games of capture the flag. Like 20 on 20 with capture rules and all sorts of stuff. Wild games. Then we'd all sit around and have a few beers and basically have a fun evening. I took a few years off from pball when I went to college. Got back into playing at Pevs in VA a few times with friends and then tore my ACL. I decided after 4 months in Physical Therapy to pick up the game again. Got myself a cheap semi auto...then quickly got a Timmy, then a 2nd Timmy and here we are.

My first time was when a buddy of mine picked me ip in his toyota supra wit 400BHP, and i saw his pb gun in the seat and i asked if i could try it, he stoped at a deserted house and gave me the gun and i fired about 100shots and after that i was hoocked!!! :D

I started paintballin 6 years ago when i was 8. I started cause back in the day, my mom played professional paintball and she and her team even won the womens world cup 2 years in a row. My mom loved the sport so she started me at an early age in hopes that someday i would love paintballin as much as she does, and i do.

I didn't even know what paintballing was, but my friend had gotten a new marker and so he told me to put on a sweatshirt and come down to the woods so he could try it out. He gave me a Tigershark and a crappy mask and proceeded to lite me up. Some months later I went with the same gun and mask to another friend's Grandparents' house and we played in some awesome 4-foot grass. I got the most kills besides my friend's crazy ***** military uncle, who is quite good at paintball, and from then on I was hooked.

i was at the birch street promande which a is a big teen hang out place by where i live and there is a paint ball store and i walked in one day not really know anything about paintball and walked out with a 02 vert feed autococker. the next day i bought a hinge trigger, the week after that i bought a oricale front black ( the three way and all the other stuff) then the next day i bought a cam, a roller sear and flame trigger and the week after that i bought the wgp kaner barrel kit and orcale bolt. that was all about 3 months ago and i would just play every now then with some friends at this old nike base in the hills by my house. then last week i went to SC village and played at a really field for the first time and loved the next day i went bought a e blade and i get my gun back tomorrow and i cant wait, im also going to pick up a pure energy air tank and evolution 2 hopper with a y board

I got started when my friend had his party at Gunrunners an indoor paintball field. I was hooked from there on out.
That was about 6 years ago, but I only been playing consistantly for about 2 years.

Back in the 80s, one summer my mother called me in to watch Donahue, he had some guys talking about this new survival game called "paintball". As I was interested in all things militaristic I watched was fascinated and was intrigued.

Massachusetts, home of the anti-fun patrol promptly banned the sport and I lost interest.

Fast forward to 1998 and my brother is getting married. he doesn't want a strip club so we decide to take him to play paintball at a local indoor field. I run around for a few hours with a pro-lite and have a great time.

1998-2002 I play maybe once a year with a rental.

Spring 2003 one of my friends who got into the sport in 2002 pushes heavily for paintball. I get $ back on a tax return and buy a 98c and we goto. I discover "stock class" a few weeks later and go whole hog into the realm of the eccentric end of the sport and now play 2-3 times a week. Yeeha. :D

Oh, and as of last week I've come ful circle and picked up a Crosman 3357 paintball revolver, the gun I drooled over in the sears catalog when I was 15.
