I'm a new paint baller who is thinking about buying this gun fo $144.95 (http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/010-4150.html), is this a decent price? also, does this gun require a nitrogen system? or can i go standard co2? I've also heard that I would need to replace the barrel in this gun b/c the current one isn't' very accurate, any suggestions? besides this is there any other suggestions that you could offer to help me out? they would be greatly appreciated

I like the E-99, it's a good gun.

Running CO2 is just fine on it and definatly a good price, they used to be around $180.00 I believe.

Anyway, as far as a barrel, if you polish the stock barrel, it will work wonders for it.

I would get our a drill and plastic coat hanger. Cut the striaght part off the caot hanger, inser it into the drill and tighten it and wrap a cloth with Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish (or similar) around the hanger and insert it into the barrel and polish it down for 10-20 minutes.

You can apply some RainX to the barrel as well to help make it shiny and smooth, better cleaning, re-apply every month or so. DO NOT USE RAINX FOR GOGGLES!!!

ook i would also definetly suggest getting an anti-siphon tank, it will help out a lot, because liquid co2 can sometimes get inside your gun and mess it up, anti-siphon will prevent this from happening, you can take your normal co2 tank to most area paintball places and they can covert it to anti-siphon i believe or you can jsut buy one anti-siphon already

make sure you get a good paint-to-barrel match with the stock barrel. i lucked out cuz my cousin gave me his old barrel that i quickly found good paint for. the stock is a nice barrel but the bore is rather large. check OtterSC Customs (http://www.ottersccustoms.com) for some real good general paintball & specific spyder faq.

It should run off of co2 fine, but get the anti siphon, or an expansion chamber on your gun. If the co2 gets into your gun It can freeze it up.
