It's probably your paint. Does it fit your barrel? My son and I both have CP 2 piece barrels and they work great. Never heard of anyone having trouble out of a CP barrel, one or two piece. This could be a first though. I would try a different paint.

I agree, it sounds like the paint, make sure your barrel is totally clean, also, clean your marker too, everywhere, make sure its spotless of any paint, even a bit of paint on the ball detent can get on your paint and just cause it to go everywhere. And then when you've done all that, go out and buy some quality paint, like evil or something to test it out.

It's paint. CP 2 pieces are godly. Also, make sure the velocity isnt too low or too high.

find out what bore size your barrel is and get the paint that matches it. Don't buy paint just based on brand, buy based on size and quality

I have a .689 bore CP-2 piece barrel. Anybody have any ideas on what a good paint would be??? Paint is expensive... and i cant just experiment with everything...
