I was going through my old magazines when i found a page on paintballs and theyre performance. It is from a magazine called WHAT PAINTBALL GEAR?. This is just to help epole that need to kno about paintballs. So here we go:
Its kinda impossible to compare the performance of diffrent brands of paint. Some days youll get a case that wouldnt break if you ran over it with a bulldozer, and otherdays it might crack open if you just break wind a little to violently - Its just the way it is.
Its not that one type of paint cant be generally better than another; I just dont want to mislead you when one box of top tourney paint arrives in dire straits having been melted into one big lump in transit, while the cheapest junk on the planet gets to us in pritine condition and shoots like a dream.
When looking for the perfect paint you have to keep your eye out for the certain key factors: Roundness, consistency in size, no clumsy or weak looking seams, a bright fill and no paint smears inside the plastic bag(indicating a broken ball).
Only then will you be able to paint the other team into oblivian.....here are the stats:
PP= Paint perfection
A good batch of this paint can do u no wrong. Shells are just brittle enough to make every hit count but not so weak to make a nasty mess of you marker. Anyone attempting to play the 'gray area' and slide off hits will be sadly disappointed as the top range paints, with their thick bright fills, are nearely all anti-wipe. Expect paint that is as close to identical in size and shape as is physically possible, that'll hum through your barrel all day without a hitch.
CE= Competetive edge
If the big money prizes arent rollin in just yet, but you still want to be competitive as a yourny or scenario team then its important to have a paint that'll still let you take on the best and stand a chance of winning, but wont put you out of business in a matter of weeks. Youll still get a smooth, regularly shaped, accurete ball with a good range along with a bright, easily washible fills. Its only the smallest refinements that sets this paint apart from the very best.
TF= Tough stiff
Want to spray as much as possible without having to worry whether the loan sharks will be taking your teeth as a deposit? Then this is the paint for you. A popular choice with field owners, this type of paint works just fine and has such a thick shell you wont have any hassles with cleaning out breaks, which gives a great peice of mind for newer players who havnt quite worked out where all the pits and peices on their gun go after theyve spilled them out all over the floor. You wont get perfect consistancy or bounce free accuracy, but you will get affordable fun.
