Sup guys,
My team and I are about to enter our first 3 man tourny and are lookin for some advice on how it should be played.
We were plannin on having a back, mid, and front guy... but thats sounds too spread out to me... i was thinking 2 mid and one up front...
They elected me as front man... so i was wondering if you guys had any tips and trix... How should we set up as a team?
Thanks,
Aj

hey cool man same here, im doin my first tourny too!....anyway im playin with a guy who has some experience, and he said DONT play aggresive at all.....sit in the back bunkers and SHOOT LIKE MAD....think about it, ur front guy gets hit off the break cause your playin to aggresive, boom its 2 on 3 and ur probably gonna loose....just shoot like mad and try to stay alive

the game is going to be determined within the first 3 minutes of the game. once you get the first guy out, it should be like boom boom, move up the tape or center, i duno if i would sit in the back, they can coutner that to much, if you all over and crawling up the tape they wont know what to do and you will gain the advantage and upperhand. if there is a nice tapeline, make sure you get a guy in there, send one in while the others keep everyone down. ive moved the tape alot when they werent expecting it and it opend up the game. just make sure to take advantage of moves, and remember, if your not shooting, communicating, or moving your not playing. have fun, and dont go in expecting to take first place, ya its a possibility but you will be really dissapointed if you lose.

The tape is the sides right? Isnt the tape usually covered by their back/mid guys? And doesnt the tape usually offer less cover???

thats not THAT great. besides how many tournys did u play before that? this guys says its his FIRST tourny, so he wont be as experieced.....anyway, i dont mean camp the whole freakin game. Like punkerx said, the first 3 mineuts are important. After you either have the advantage in numbers, or just plain feel like moving up after theres nothin you can do but shoot, then you start to run the tapes, get some angles and hopefully you'll be better off than just staying back and shooting.
btw i at first didnt agree that staying back right off the break was the smart thing to do...but the more you think about it, the more it makes sense NOT to play it risky. ya know what i mean?

Some older tourny guys told me to train by back players well so that they can keep the other teams back players bunkered allowing me to advance and eliminate... its a lil more aggresive, but it might helpin in rackin up the points...
The sad thing is i gotta rely heavily on my back guys...

we usally send one guy up front and two guys in the back and try to move other back guy up for angles
basically we wait for them to make mistakes, if they dont within a minute we get agressive

definitely try to get one off the break though, and dont be over agressive and get yourself shot out making a stupid move, but dont be too defensive and miss a game winning move. Oh, and i know 8th isnt that great, but when you consider at our last 3 tournies we finished in the bottom 2 teams playing defensively, its pretty significant....
