Internally they are identical. The Defiant has some extra milling, has some different ano schemes, uses 'Cocker barrels and has Bob Long's name on it. Other than that they are functionally identical.

the Bushy would be the better buy. It is cheaper and it has a grip frame that accepts any 1911 grip, unlike the Defiant. Also, you can get a Bushmaster LCD for the price of a Defiant.

Yeah but cocker threads are a big bonus. Performance wise it's the same gun, using almost all the same parts internally as well (I think, not entirely sure). Dunno about ICDs customer service, but Bob Longs is among the best. You just gotta ask yourself if cocker threads is worth the extra money. If yes, then a defiant is a better buy, if no, then a bushy is a better buy.

ICD is by far the best customer service. While at the Mardi Gras Open ICD overhauled my Defiant and installed a new Eclipse trigger all for free. They are really cool people. As for the cocker threads... Unless you have a lot of cocker barrels laying around, it's not necessary. Since the BM2K became popular, most companies have barrels to fit the ICD threads.
