It could very easily be niether, but i have a double trigger and when I attempted to walk it the other day my gun wouldn't keep up. Is this because i'm screwing up or is the 98 custom just not for achieving high rates of fire? If i'm doing something wrong please let me know wha it could be.
Thanks
P.S. I'm gettin a r/t soon so if that'll help...

you need a revvy or other mechanized hopper

definately a revy is very helpful and almost necessary to shoot fast... any viewloader or empire one will do the x-board ones are nice but im partial to the ricochets

i don't see how people can play without some sort of motorized hopper they're just so helpful.

what you people have failed to do is look in his profile... "custom98, 14" JJ Ceramic, 12v Revy, Dead on Drop Forward, ACI 6 stage, rocket cock, Pro Team Velocity Adjuster "...
he has a revi...
you're probably just doing it wrong... unless you've done a nice trigger job... the tippys triggers aren't the easiest to walk on...

Here's your problem: You can't walk a mechanical trigger!!!

can to... it just needs to be short and light...

Yes, very short and very light. The problem then is that with mechanical triggers on blowbacks the trigger itself becomes less and less reliable because the sear is set so low compared to the hammer, and thus won't be able to catch it as reliably, especially when it begins to wear down.

True True haze was right but im thinkin he just needs to get a better hopper or sumthin because i cant think of anything that wuld be wrong. The revvy should be enough.

What about the elbow. the stock elbow sucks and I have heard that it has a hard time feeding past 9bps I can confirm that with mine I had to get the lapco elbow to be able to go faster and found a big change.... try it and see if it helps like it did for me...

u outshot ur regular hopper, either shake ur gravity fed one or get a mechanical one

its because its a 98c, R/T goes too fast for bolt sometime. 98c isnt good enough for that kind of play...
And people wonder why other people buy nice guns ;p

Thanks, the only "trigger jobs" that i have the guts to try (not wanting to break my gun is i put a pen spring in instead of the stock spring), so do u think that the r/t will help or should i look to get another gun/upgrades?

Beleive it or not, I can outshoot a 12v Revvy on my M98C..and its mostly stock (Except for the reg), I don't even have a r/t kit in mine, altho I am thinking about investing in one.

i've never outshot my revvy on my 98c... but then again, i wasnt really trying. The trigger is alot lighter but longer than my mag's intelliframe.. i cant outshoot the revvy on the mag either, but intellifeed might have something to do with it

you can walk on a mechanical trigger but it just dosent have the same effect as walking on a electronic trigger. i think you should just stick with pulling it normaly. just work on that and you will get faster, eventually
