The dye ss is arugably as accurate if not more than the boom.

consider an aluminum. almost exactly the same, cheaper.

Well not exactly...The SS may be heavier and more expensive but it is more accurate (because ss is the best material made for a barrel on the earth) than the allumin (SPL) but you you are playing wood buy allum...speed or concept...ss...

No the aluminum and SS are the same my freind has a SS and I have the Aluminum they shoot the same.

Actually Titanium is better, and for strength Inkenel(sp), which is a mixture of Stainless steel, nickle, and some chemicals, and if you thought SS was exspensive this stuff is atl east 10x more $$$ wise and strength wise. And it's the same weight if not less.
