The whole point of the changeable bore design is for you to match your barrel bore to the paint youll be shooting. So, they are accurate if you have a good paint to bore match.

Two people on my team have them on their dark angels. While the barrels with inserts are expensive ($230+), it is very accurate. However, some of the inserts will rarely be used like the .677 sleeve and the bigger sleeve. For the price I think you would be better off with 3 CP barrels in small, medium, and large bore. This would run $150 and, in my opinion, would be just as good.

Yes but for the extra $50 bucks you get the nice plastic box. j/k It is a nice system, also once you get it you can buy just the back part for your back up marker. So it's not that mad of a deal.

Let me start this off with the usual; paint-to-barrel match is the most important factor, everybody has their own opinion, blah, blah, blah. My two buddies and I tested the performance of the 14" SP Freak Deluxe against that of the 14" Dye Ironman BS. Both were put on the same M98.

The conclusions we came to were;
Accuracy : Tie (for now)
Quietness: BS... but very close
Both barrels lose accuracy after a ball break but, we
all felt the Freak was easier to manually clean (the
porting is larger than the BS's)

The reason accuracy is a "Tie (for now)", there are a few brands that have not been shot through either barrel. Acc. test for the BS was done with RPS El Tigre, while acc. test for the Freak was done with Proball. These were in our opinion the best paint-to-barrel match so far. Although, the BS has never shot Proball, the Freak has never shot El Tigre, and neither have shot Marbs. So, a little more testing is needed.
Acc. tests were done at different distances and, were virtually the same. BTW, favorite paints were determined after both had shot 32* Team C., ProLyte Plat., Point Blank Prem., Zap Select, Diablo Blaze, RPS/PMI Prem., and each's respective favorite.
BTW, I got my Deluxe set for $180 from http://www.firstcallpaintball.com last Nov. (had to call for a quote).
Advantages the Freak has over the BS are;
You buy a diff. gun, just buy a diff. back $60-70
You want a diff. length, just buy a diff. front $40-50

You will probably only use 4 or 5 of the 8 inserts, depending on your paint preferance and which paints your local fields use. I am considering buying a new front (10") for speedball/indoor play. Basically for $230, I will have 8-10 barrels, approx. $26 each. I will use at least 2 inserts and the 2 lengths frequently, that's 4 barrels for an avg. price of $58. That's still a pretty good deal. Not to mention the case to carry everything. If you have the money, I highly recommend this barrel. Especially as a long term investment -- If you decide to buy a new gun someday and want to hang on to your other gun, ONE $60-70 purchase can double the number or barrels you have.
Sorry this is so lengthy, it's my first time posting. I hope you're happy with whichever barrel you decide to buy. Feel free to email me with any further Q's.
