ok I got mine today...I was installing it when I saw that they recommend cutting the spring if you dont have an evil valve...ok fine and dandy but how much do you cut off??? also I have read a post saying that the spring is not needed??? Is that True??? and I want to get a new valve...and I heard it is better to match up the valve with the LPR system...so should I get the evil valve or go for the ND RIP valve??? Thanks everyone...

Cut it down so that when the spring is set up against the cup seal, it is flush with the body. Or you can just not use one at all. I prefer to not have a valve spring, but I would not recomend it for guns operating under 130psi, as there may be an efficiency problem if the valve does not close fast enough with air pressure alone.
Heres the deal with the "matching the valve to the LPR" question.
By itself, the GMFV (New Designz) is a superior valve to the Evil valve. However, when using the Evil Valve with the Respirator, the performance is comparative to that of the New Designz valve. Consequently, when running an Evil LPR, the Evil Valve will give better performance. Otherwise, the New Designz GMFV (RIP) will give better numbers. Of course, both valves work fine in either case.
