When do you think tippmann will release their next marker? How long did it take between the 98c and A-5?

Hopefully they release one soon. It's neat seeing what TPI will come up with next.

If they could compact their marker's size and make a STURDY non blowback gun, i'd buy it so quick.
I want a marker that's really good for rec and speedball.

something based off the impy valve would be nice...

Hope for the best i guess
PartySquirrel
05-20-2003, 06:02 PM
nah i would rather have it based of the mag valve - yea more compact non blowback is the way to go
as soon as they throw out some more upgrades for the A5 then they should start working on it (and put a cyclone on it that baby's beautiful)

I heard they're looking into making an Sl 68 III
PartySquirrel
05-20-2003, 06:36 PM
really? that is a good idea - SL2 is like a WW2 veteran.... anyway a new Tippy-Pump would be cool - i really want some more tippman upgrades for the pro-carbine .... alot of sights have 1 or 2 items but not a large selection ... angers me so

hopefully its non-blowback and has some new system on it (like cyclone feed or something) that would be awesome

I want something that looks real.
But anything is good, as long as it is not "A-5 Custom".

Yes evilhomer, a pistol.

05-21-2003, 04:23 PM
lol kampfer that would be crazy if they pulled a A5 custom on us... a pistol would be cool but a non blowback with a cyclone would be cooler

I doubt they will make a non blowback gun, or even a "tourney" style gun. Dennis Tippmann himself said something like "we would rather focus on making sturdy, cheap, entry to mid level guns for newer players, then making a full blown competition marker".
Goober_AK
05-21-2003, 06:17 PM
they should jus make ONE tournment gun, have all the upgrades same as 98c/a5 (so u dont have to buy new upgrades, just switch em from one gun to another) and see how it works lol
the_big_wazzoo
05-21-2003, 06:24 PM
i wish they would just switch the cyclone feed to the otherside of the gun, considering most people shoot out the right side of the bunker.
if tippmann released a high-end gun that would kick ***. if it had the speed of my impulse, and the tippmann toughness- SOLD....
PartySquirrel
05-21-2003, 06:42 PM
tippmann already has entry level markers - it really needs one high end gun - universal parts would be nice but that would mean internals similar to the blow backs which is what we're trying to steer away from -
they also should start making left feed an option for all you rightys out there

I hope for a sl 3. they just got the a5 out, so they probley wont realese any blowbacks soon.

what would they change on those though..? there really isn't much you can do to a pump gun to make it better... unless they make them pneu-assisted... that'd be sweet...

rec and speedball? RT automags, more reliable then a tippy, hella fast and small, super consistent and easy to strip down, what more would u like?

I think tippmann needs to make at least one high end tourney gun that would be cool i would buy it :D
i heard someone say something about a new version of the a-5 , is that true?
rt mag is faster, smaller, but not more reliable than tippmann

much more reliable then a tippy imo, it doesnt have all those little problems that tippys do, and they are only 300 used on ebay

shutup... it would be soo cool... and everyone would want one...
centerfeed... style the internals off a matrix... air assist... backblock... funky cool trigger hinged in the middle... automag barrel threads... spikes like on the gothic autococker body... not pressed aluminum... so we can ano it...
it'll be cool damnit...
blacklabel56

mag barrel threads :eyes: ... i'd rather see cocker threads and the gothic spikes wouldnt be that stylish but still, good idea
-=ReD-hAzE=-
05-22-2003, 08:00 PM
mag barrels don't actually have "threads"... its a twist and lock... so when you break a ball in the barrel... you twist your barrel a bit... and out it pops... squeegee... back in... quick easy...
http://www.fireballmountain.com/bodies/pewter%20gothic.jpg and you call that not stylish..? with a nice red/black acid wash...
evilhomer
05-22-2003, 08:02 PM
that is pretty cool, but I'm not into the whole gothic stuff...
EDIT: Red, I think your rubbing off on me cause I'm starting that 3 dot thing you do after every statement. kinda freaky.

as for the subject of the 'new' tippmann release marker...i saw on WARPIG that the new marker that tippmann is working on is a cross between the A-5 and the 98c. it has the cyclone and yet also has the 98's style and versitility...here let me see if ican get a link----
http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/loaders/tipp_force/index.shtml
not very good pics though...
hope this'll help!

Ya know if Tippmann Effect can use Tippmann guns at NPPL 7 man and do pretty well with them, then they're still qualifying
as a tourney gun. But High end teams don't pick guns based
on a particular brand's reliability or features. They pick them on who gives them the sweeter sponsorship deal / treats them better.

Hmmm... new gun from Tippmann? I doubt that there will be anything new even suggested, till the A-5 stops selling. Tippmann will probably still thinking of how to sell the guns they have, BUT if for some unseen reason does sundenly arise then Tippmann... has alot of possibilities in there hands.
#1- Create a whole new gun that fills the demands of Tourny players and has totaly new styling, construction, parts and no blowback.
#2- Take the A5, see what the hell is wrong with it and create the A6, A5 II or whatever they want to name it.
#3- Add a cyclone feed and other features of the A5 to the '98 series and put it between the Custom 98 and A5 in pricing (That would be called the A-5 Custom or Custom-5!).
#4- Create another pump.
#5- Have a "Create-A-Tippmann!" contest and pick a winner (Good idea Red-Haze).
#6- Or sit on there ***'s and do nothing at all.
This could make for a good poll...

That would be awesome. A new Tippmann. Possibly if they're working on a hybrid A-5/98c they might make a cyclone feed system that you can add to your original 98c as an upgrade. Save you buying a new gun.

To me it seems like tippmann is getting old. From what i've seen, the A-5 has not been such a big hit like i thought it would be. So i think they have to redeem themselves by coming up with a new innovation in the line of markers just like the model and custom 98s. It'll be hard to compete with all the other great markers out there but i, sure they can do it.

Go ahead laugh at my stupidity:laugh: because i admit i am quite the noob but what is so much better about it not being blowback:confused:

Of course there always new inventions with any sport inlcuding paintball. It started out with the basic pumps, then to the blow-backs, electro mechanical, now the electro-pneumatics. You may notice that the blow-backs are very old to paintball and becoming obsolete against the electros which are now shooting 15bps+. If it wasn't for the price involved(more affordable than electros), i would say blow-backs would become a thing of the past and discontinued.

It's dissapointing how important it's becoming to the majority of pballers out there to have a gun with an insanely fast BPS. Don't you think it would be more fun and more strategic and intense if we couldn't unload 100's of balls on each other in less than 30 seconds?
Oh yeah, and Tippmann Blowbacks are so damn reliable (and cheap as was said) I'll sacrifice the BPS rate.
Hopefully by the time Tippmann releases (if they indeed do release something) an Electro-pneumatic (or maybe some new miracle gun that is better) they'll make one as reliable and dependable as today's Tippmann's.
Go Tippmann!
1Speed
06-02-2003, 06:27 AM
it's not that people are speed hungry but that they like leanience. Electro-pneumatics have the ability to shoot fast but also the ability to shoot as slow as you want(ie trigger modes). Blow-backs only have the ability to shoot slow.

The chances of Tippmann making another pump are nil to slim (slim being you'd have a better chance of jumping off the Empire State Building and surviving). There just isn't a huge market for pumps. For every pump/stock convert, there are at least 10 semi/electro players, probably more.
Tippmann will not be building a sidearm more than likely.
Tippmann will probably not get away from the CVX valve and blow-back design althouigh it would be nice.
Although, it would not surprise me if they came out with an electro-pnuematic gun based on the E-Bolt that comes stock LP and with a Flatline stock or something...get rid of the infamous Tippmann stock barrel.
