Maddman spring kits?

I have maddman springs in my piranha and i love them especially the trigger spring(it lightens the trigger pull so much), but i have a question about the valve springs. The kit comes with two valve springs, a long one and a short one. What are the diffirences between the two performance wise, and how do i know wich one i should use.

its for low pressure use ones a light sping and ones a heavy one correct me if im wrong but i think the heavy one keeps the valve open longer but im not sure i guess someone else can help you

A lighter valve spring will keep the valve open longer.
