Is full auto allowed in tourneys?

Nope. No full auto, reactive, response, turbo, burst, zip, zap zoink none of it. And by reactive, I mean that an RT is allowed, but you cant set the trigger to be so reactive that it no longer takes conscious effort to fire a long string of shots. Otherwise, it'd be non electro full auto :) Only thing they allow is the good ole 1 shot burst that we've all come to love

So what's the point of buying expensive electros if there is no full auto or anything like that allowed?

Electro guns still shoot pretty fast, you just need to remove the full auto chip to play in tournys.

An electro is more consistent than most mechanical markers (especially blow backs) because it is electronically timed (dwell settings) rather than having a spring move the hammer around. Some mechanical guns can get the same consistency of electros, but generally electros are better. Second, an electro trigger feels a thousand times nicer than a mechanical trigger. Third, an electro trigger is impossible to short stroke, either the gun fire properly, or it doesnt fire at all, a big advantage for rapid firing. Lastly, because of the ability for super short pulls, with little tension, an electro is far easier to achieve a high Rate of Fire with than a mechanical gun. Throw in Anti-chop eyes, LCDs, timers, vibrating grips, intellifeed, smartfeed etc. and an electropnuematic gun is far better than 98% of all mechanical guns out there.

And no you dont remove the chip for tourneys, you just set it to semi auto, and engage tournament lockout if you have an LCD. Unless you're the NPPL and you're a bunch of... Anyhow, you usually dont remove the chip

I was talking about NPPL rules, sorry I didn't mean to step on any toes.

Most people can shoot as fast on semi as they can on auto on angels, timmys etc. I can shoot with a semi angel around 12 bps and full auto is 13 bps.

Oh no, no need to apologize, just some people think some pretty strange things, and I thought you may have thought you need to take it out for all tournies.
