Hey all!

Okay, I have read a lot about eBay stores making quite a bit of money. I have a few friends in the business and they rack in hundreds of dollars a week. They sell like skateboard and sports stuff.

I want to open up my own store to make money. I want to sell paintball products. My few questions are:

1) How do I contact the manufacturer to order like 10 guns to sell?

2) Lets say I would like to see how a gun is before I sell it to know how the gun is and so that I know how the gun will sell, how would I do that? My friend said you simply tell them you are a dedicated business looking to order some guns to sell ( which of course you would pay them back ) , however you will need a sample of the gun along with information on it and prices. I know you can do this, hwoever I have heard there is a scam on eBay about getting stuff for free using this method. How would I get around this to convince them I am legit? Also, lets say I get the sample but I do not want any to sell becaues I am convinced it would be good to auction off, is this allowed?

Thanks! Looking forward to your responses!

I rather order directly from the manufacturer in order to keep my cost low and so I can profit high.

How do I find out who manufactures the guns/products, or do they do it themselves?

I am plannign on calling WDP, and lets say I request a sample free of charge along w/ information such as prices, but for some reason I decide I don't want to sell them, won't they become suspicious that I ripped them off and will follow ( just saying ) a lawsuit or something?

You will probably have to show you are a legt bussiness with the license and all for it first, and then you will probably return the merchandise back to WGP.

Thanks first off for your responses!

What if I sell stuff via eBay, do I need liiscences? I don't tihnk so. I actualy just asked my neighbor and he said that when they send you a sample, they realize you may not sell their products in the future and that it is a risk they are willing to take to find a customer, in which they iwll never turn down a potential one.

Hmm...I'm not sure.

You could go to the Armotech web-site and look up dealers.

See Cal Strategies, Greensboro, North Carolina.

He will be able to explain it better, most of his selling is done via e-bay.

Hope that helps you out, good luck.

Edit: Forget I found it :) Thanks! Do you have his e-mail address by any chance, it is 930 at night here so I can't call obviously :)

if anyone can answer on the legality of the sample issue, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again for all of your help.

First to sell on ebay, you need to become a ebay powerseller, and you can set up your own store. all on ebay.

If you are a powerseller you do not have to pay listing fees and stuff, you just pay a monthly fee, and if you sell enof stuff, you save money, because the listing fees can be expensive.

I dout WDP would send you any thing for free, they may give you a special discount off of normal wholesale for the sample, but not free.

The best thing is to call the manufacteror, or maybe even go to your local store and ask them. I've bean thinking about doing the same thing. I make money on ebay, but I'm not a store. (I buy groups of stuff for lots of money and part it out)

Most companies don't let small stores buy factory direct, and want you to go through a distributer.
