Is Brass Eagle hiding under another name called V-Force like they have with Viewloader? Take a look and express your opinion. Here is a Brass Eagle Z-Leader Mask.

The reason the BE Maxx vision and V-Force goggles look the same is because their made by the same company, Leader Optics. Leader made the Deluxe mask, Extreme vision and Maxx vision for BE until last year when BE acquired JT. When that happened BE no longer needed Leader to make mask for it so ended the relationship (If you look at the new BE mask they're basically relabeled JT masks). In any event, Leader teamed up with Diablo Direct to come out with the V-Force line, which is a good thing because, since Leader is no longer constrained to make "budget mask" they can focus more on the high end market with a subsequent improvement in the quality of the mask. Hope this clears things up.

Yah it does, thanks. I was just worried because I wanted to purchase a V-Force morph but I saw the resemblence with the B.E. mask and was worried it would suck. :D

most b.e. masks now all the cheapy version of the cheap jts. jt still make quality masks, as long as b.e. doesn't tinker with the quality like they did with the new viewloader revvies.

Brass Eagle is ok for noobs and everything.. But they are way over their head trying to take over the 2 best companies in paintball and try to mess around w/ them and make them better!

Diablo doesn't own V-Force. Diablo is the Marketeer and Distributor for V-Force.

Z-Leader is one of if not The Oldest paintball goggle makers. The make protective eye wear for every application you could think of. The KNOW the business. For Brass Eagle to make a contract for them to rebadge a part of the production is not a slight on V-Force or Z-Leader. It was simply a good move on Brass Eagle's part to do so. If you have the same mask with the Brass Eagle logo on it... you simply got the same thing at a much cheaper price. Consider those that get them lucky.

Every industry does the same thing... Autos, Guns, Stereos, Clothing.

There is no difference in quality as both come off the SAME assembly line.

I have a V-Force Shield... Had I been aware of the 20 buck cheaper option - sure... why not? Brass Eagle has a bad rap - but does that mean your going to avoid the JT line because BE owns it now? Under that logic, the Brass Eagle Proteus is a pretty good mask your passing up on.

I read somewhere yesterday that the parent company of Diablo bought the V-force division from Leader. Did anyone else read this, or am I just on crack?

Press Release from the Mardi Gras Press Conference - January 25, 2002

Procaps Inc. acquires VForce Vision Systems

VForce Vision Systems, the paintball eyewear division of Leader Industries, has been acquired by Procaps Inc.'s sporting goods manufacturing division, AirTech Industries.
VForce products reached the forefront of the paintball eyewear category with the help of Procap's distribution partners, Diablo Direct Paintball Dealers Supply. In the year 2000, Diablo Direct became the exclusive distributor of the patented goggle line. Since then, VForce has become the fastest goggle brand in the sport's 20-year history.

VForce's patented systems represent several important breakthroughs in goggle design. The thermo-cured anti-fog and anti-scratch properties last up to five times longer than the competition, and the Quick-Charge lens retention system enables lens changes in less than ten seconds. VForce's ASTM and PECC certified lenses are safely retained in place without the paint-trapping gutters used in ordinary goggles, and the VForce comfort and style has become legendary among Players all over the world.

Procaps and AirTech Industries plan to continue increasing production, in order to meet the mounting demand that is being generated by a groundswell of enthusiasm for these revolutionary systems. New products continue to be developed and evaluated, and the future holds some very exciting new designs and features.

Procaps Inc. is a Montreal Canada based contract manufacturer of soft gelatin capsules, founded in 1998. For more information regarding wholesale costs, minimum orders, and details for VForce Vision Systems, call the AirTech division of Procaps, Inc. at 514.337.1779 ext 288, or visit www.diablodirect.com and www.vforcepaintball.com.
