Here's some new info ... Viper Venom is a Rookie/Amateur tournament. Here's how Bullseye Paintball Inc (the series' promoter) defines those terms.

Rookie: all team members are 19 or younger.
Amateur: All team members are 20 or older.

Bullseye wants to keep teams that compete professionally from going up against younger, less experienced teams.

Jim Durante of Bullseye said for the remaining eight or so events in the series. Participating teams earn points based on how they place in each tournament. The top 12 rookie and top 12 amateur teams will be invited to a final tournament Sept. 30 in Homestead, Fla.

Prizes include:
Gold Rings for first place
Silver Rings for second place
Invitation to participate in next year's series for third place.

I've been planning this for a long time, it's fool proof!

Also I forgot to mention to keep it more lively there are several differant scenerios and objectives.

Such as: Capture the flag, everyone is elminated, retake the prisoner, take and hold, sabotage.

Also I forgot to mention, when you're shot and you're out, you go to the designated area for about 5-7 minutes. You wait there, fix your equipment, refill your hopper, CO2, get some food, get a drink, listen to some music, and other stuff. After the time is up you go back to your main base and start over.

Anyway...

I know more than enough people that paintball, if I wanted I could get 100 people, but I don't have that much room. I'm inviting 30-40 people, 15-20 vs. 15-20, pending on how many people can come of course.

Yeah, the biggest problem will be the whole no refill options. I know 1 person who can legally refill tanks, I just hope between breaks (1 break every 3-4 hours) no one uses all their CO2, and hopefully everyone will bring a 20oz tank, that'll solve most if not all of the CO2 problems, and the people I'm inviting have played many times, so they know how they shoot (wild or conservative). Luckily this is the only obvious problem.

I dislike scenario game because everyone just wastes paint and air. They just randomly shoot at everything in sight... the only good tactic on secnarios areto save paint let the time run down then rush them with a group of 4-7 people... I did this this weekend at the last 30 seconds and we called out over 15 people, couldnt make them take the hit.

Not true. Experienced players (like all the ones I'm inviting) enjoy playing scenario the 'right' way, by not wasting paint and air. And if I don't have a station for Air refill and where you can buy new paint why would they waste air and paint?

to me big games are the best because i only like paintball when im getting shot at often and this sounds weird but i have a better day playing paintball when i dont get like 30 elimination but am in the midst of a nice match and getting shot at. every thign else is boring

Scenarios and Objectives

This game will host new scenarios, special missions and objectives. The following is a teaser of some of the stuff you'll encounter.

Special missions –

Yellow General Intelligence
At 1330 hours local, an E2C-Hawkeye AWACS airplane was hit with a high altitude SA-3 surface-to-air missile. The location of the downed plane has been determine by a predator drone. The location is deep in woods, near sector Blue Pool. The crew is believed to be KIA.

Mission : Immediately dispatch a contingency of your elite Special Forces Unit to move to and secure the crash site. There, they will recovery the primary communications computer core and transport it to their DMZ. ( there is a very important reason for this but that's all that's being disclosed. You will learn more of this mission June 13 th )

Orange General Intelligence
At 1330 hours local, an enemy airplane flew in to Orange airspace for unknown reasons. It was then engaged and destory by Orange Air Defense units. Forward ground units have reported seeing smoke in the vacinity of the crash site and are awaiting orders.

Mission : Order elements of 2nd Orange Guard to move forward and secure the crash site. Determine if there is any items of interest that can be recovered. If so, have your units report their findings then move the item(s) to their DMZ for further investigation. (more specifics will be revealed June 13 th )

These are just a few examples of the types of missions that you will be challenged with on June 13 th . Other scenarios will include reconnaissance and rescue missions. We will post more information to this site (including the list of objectives) as June 13 th approaches.

Other Logistics - This event will last all day (from 10 am until 4:30 pm) At 4:30 pm we will give out tons of prizes such as posters, paint, field passes, pods, carrying packs, guns (including a Custom 98) and all kinds of other stuff.

Fees – the entry fee is $30.00. This includes you ticket to play in the game, ALL DAY AIR and a raffle ticket for prizes (including the grand prize).

Food - Mamas BBQ will be selling the best BBQ around along with chicken, ribs, chili, hamburgers and hotdogs. Mamas was at our last big game and the food was so good they sold out of everything. I've asked them to bring extra food this time.

Drinks – Action TAGG will provide Pepsi and Coke products including Gatorade. All drinks will be $1.00 each

At the end of our Terror Attack 2006 Game, The Terrorist fearless leader known as the "Sand Spider" and one of his younger psycho sucide bombers that had a nuke strapped to his back, had made a quick exit from the final battle.
Intel reports that the Nuke would not accept the detonation codes and they did not want the counter terrorist unit to take there only remaning nuke.
Further reports stated that the Sand Spider was shot. A group of his loyal terrorist had been seen carrying the Sand Spider away from the final battle.

“This is John Jones reporting from Caracas, Venezuela. This entire incident stems from an attack nearly two weeks ago on the USS Yorktown, a guided missile cruiser somewhere near international waters off the coast of Venezuela. Initial reports stated that an attack was launched while the Yorktown responded to a distress call from a stricken fishing vessel.

To the west of the Presidential retreat, 1500 meters to the west to be exact, a bush moved the slightest bit in the breeze. Captain William Morgan looked down the sights of his Barrett M107 and focused in on the head of Chavezadvisor's. “IChavezt would be so easy to take you out,” he whispered.

“Yes, it would,” his spotter Thomas replied, but that is not our job. “I know,” replied Morgan, but mark my words; I’ll get him before this is over”

Morgan pressed his comm bead button, “This is Canary One calling home base, I have the package in sight. Request permission to engage.” It couldn’t hurt to ask anyway, he thought.

“Canary One this is home base. Permission denied. Keep target in site, but continue with secondary objective.”

TOUR OF DUTY-NAM II

Codename Patriot is just one of the many clandestine operations that comprised one of the murkiest aspects of America’s early involvement in Southeast Asia. Much of the history of these activities remains classified “Top Secret” and the story may never be told in full.

On a fall day, a detachment of Special Forces departed North Carolina bound for parts unknown. The soldiers had been “sheep dipped” military-ese for “cleansed”. They were issued civilian clothing and carried civilian identification. Each had his own cover story, for example a merchant marine that had jumped ship and fled into the interior.

The disguised Special Forces eventually joined up with a band of Montagnards, the mountain people of Laos, a group singled out by the Central Intelligence Agency to secretly take on the NVA along the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos.

Join this group as they take on “Charlie” in a heart-pounding adventure into the unknown.

What is the WTL?

The WTL (woodsball tournament league) is the only league of its kind. We mix Woodsball, Milsim, Pump and Speedball together in a fun and competitive environment. We use professionally trained NPPL Referees. Unlike typical speedball tourneys that have the reputation for poor sportsmanship and cheating, the WTL is comprised primarily of Woodsball, Scenario, Pump and Milsim paintball players whose teams uphold an incredibly high standard of honor on and off the field. Unlike regular tourney's, the WTL sets itself apart by focusing on more realistic tactical play. We do not have any gun or hopper restrictions. Does your Ion have a tricked out board allowing you to shoot 40 BPS? No problem! Does your X7 have an E-Grip allowing you to shoot full auto? Bring it on! So what's the catch?, the one equalizing factor that levels the playing ground between all markers is limited ammo rules. Players are not allowed to carry thousands of rounds onto the field. Teams are comprised of 7 players. 6 regular and 1 "heavy gunner." The regular squad members are allowed two 140 round pods of paintballs PER game, and the one designated "heavy gunner" can carry unlimited paint but cannot share it. Shoot too fast, and you run out of ammo. It is in this way that the WTL is able to have teams focus on small unit tactics and movement without falling victim to the typical "spray and pray" style of tourney's that we are all used too.

So bring your "A" game and enjoy the company of other players who have found the W.T.L. to be a competitive, fair and fun filled day. O.K., so what's the cost? It's only $350 per team of 10. We have always believed the W.T.L. to be a pure players league. You, the players, have created the rules and the format. It has always been our policy that the players come first.
