Our paper ran this today. It's about a new training bullet that has a plastic, paintfilled projectile instead of a real bullet. The story kept referring to it as a paintball, I tried to tell them it wasn't, and this is what ran.

That isn't too bad..they only referr it to paintball once or twice.

But most times they same paint filled pellets. I've seen worse.. atleast it is improving some

I'm not sure about this but is this the beta paint projectile that I heard of about 2 years ago? I wasn't into paintball that long ago so I didnt check into it at all. But heard it had soemthing to do with ballistics? I dont know, just takning a stab in the dark. Might of been those .62 caliber paintballs.

I'm not sure, the ammo looks like a bullet, has a brass cartdridge, but instead of a bullet, it has a paint filled, plastic projectile. I'm sure it smarts like Hella when it hits.

I had some SWAT guys come into our store. The rounds they use are called:

SIMUNITION

Its pretty cool. There is only about enough paint in the round to have a hit smaller than a dime.

The main thing that they use the rounds for is simulation. It actually uses primer... So there is a kick when you shoot your gun. They actually use real guns modified to shoot these rounds.

Man but this is nothing like paintball... This is simulated firearm training... nothing close to what paintball is....

Sounds more like airsoft...both are fun, but it is a way different game from paintball.
