The Bigshot only comes in 12" and the J&J only comes in 14". Which ever one YOU like better is the one to get; theyre too close to have US say which is better. Go with your personal preference!

Ceramics come in 12" also.
You didn't say what kind of paint your using, so we have no way of knowing which is better.

if ur using med bore paint,go w/ the lapco. if you are using smaller paint, go w. the j&J. i personally like the lapcos better overall.
A damn fool

The j&j is a higher quality barl im my opinon., It has great acuracy, and is a lot quieter then the bigshot. Ive used a 14 inch ceramic, and almost go it, but u had mor emoney, so i went for the boomstick. Geth the j&j 14

i ordered a bigshot a month ago, it's still on back order, i'm playin w/ a spyder and i can work balls to fit the barrel. so w/ a perfect ball fit whats the best? 12" bigshot or 12" ceramic. keep in mind, to get the ceramic i'd cancel the bigshot and order the ceramic, but it would ocme faster. any suggestions?

Well to be specific.....the lapco Big Shot is really only an 11.5" barrel...they only call it a 12"
You might want to try http://www.paintballbarrels.com
when I was trying to get mine....they were the only ones that had it in stock....
What about the Dye Xcell??? it is the same price and the guy at Co. Paintball said it is better but he is a fat guy with a mullet or somthin

bigshots are hard to get these days, i just cancelled mine, i heard lapco hasn't made a bigshot for a year. get a bigshot if you can, but it you can't, do what i do, go for the ceramic

The reason the Bigshot is hard to find is because something went wrong with Lapco's new machinery. Check out http://www.lapcopaintball.com for more details.

nope nope nope, if youve got the extra doh get a ceramic and buy a kool dropforward or something. If someone said "Hey ill trade you my brand new 14 inch boomstick for your new 14 inch Ceramic" id say "sorry buddy, my ceramic is lighter equally accurate and much quiteter" and then the other guy would go cry.
In actuality id take the trade and sell the boomstick, buy another j&j and a dropforward :D
