Expensive guns

Who here thinks markers above $1000 stock are a waste of money? Personally, i think you can find better than an angel without having to take out from all your funds and stocks.

It is all relitive. Some people feel spending 1000 for a gun is insane but turn around and buy a $1500 TV and think it is no big deal. It depends where your priorities are.

I think there is some truth to "You get what you pay for." The question is whether you need a $1,000 marker. I've got a $150 marker and it works fine. However, I think a $600 Mag RT or a $??? STO Cocker is probably more of a marker (more accurate, faster firing, higher quality).

I know that as I get more serious about my pasttime I'm gonna demand more from my marker, and I don't know if I'm gonna want to stay with my Piranah STS. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good marker for the money.

But I've made up my mind that by the end of this year, if not sooner, I'm gonna splurge the $600 for a Mag RT. (Besides, I'll be able to keep some of the stuff I'm buying for my Piranah to use on the Mag ... Revy, Nitro tank, drop forward.)

I payed 1300 for all my gear, and I definately think it was worth the money. I've never been happier, and I've got no desire to upgrade, which is nice, because when I had my Spyder I spent all day fantasizing about angels and shockers and freeflows etc. Anyhow, I love my gun, and it is by no means a waste of money in my opinion. The girlfriends opinion on the other hand...

Yeah you're gonna be one of those guys you see begging for food and money next to an interstate exit off-ramp. But in Muck's case, he is going to be holding the drivers up with his $600 Mag until he scares the crap out of people enough to get them to cough up the cash. Can you say Hi-jacking? :)

I think I may have a leg up on this one:

Wife's Birthday Party: $700 (included Chaffeured 10 passenger Limo, Dinner for seven at very expensive resturant, reserved the "Living Room" at Ritzy Jazz Club, bottle of Dom Perigone (I think that's how you spell it) and miscellaneous party accessories).

I'll probably be able to use that to my advantage ... It's all in the timing.

Lol muck my wife told me too buy a new gun. Everyone i get been used rebuilt.My RT i got for 400 bucks cause a kid grades pissed his dad off and he let me have it for a dance.She thinks i need to buy at least a new gun once. And in 3 weeks it will happen.

Yeah I decided too, that by this Christmas I'm gonna get the Autococker 2001. It's a pretty good price for a gun that I think is gonna be really good, but I'm still gonna do more research when it gets closer to this Christmas, to see if thats the gun I really want.

I don't have to explain it to my girlfriend because I don't think I have to spend all my money on her YET. But explaning that to the parents is gonna be hard I could just picture it:

hey muck do yourself one favor shoot as many high end guns as you can befor you bye a mag .if you still like it go for it but dont by a high end gun just for looks . just ask phaelon he whanted a mag rt or mini for a long time until he shoot my gun he still whants a mag but he bought the same gun as me and is gonna get a mag later just for the hell of it when he has more money. i mean you might find that you dont like the feel of a mag and man i would hate to see your old lady kill ya when you tell her your are not happy with the mag . by the way the old lady thing is just a saying dont take it personaly we both no she is way past old hahahaha lol joking tl + made me say it

It was funny... A friend of mine went out and bought a minicocker with one of them compressed air tanks(?) and he was showing it to me he mentioned the price and his girlfriend went off on him! I guess he didnt tell her! Every summer at skirmish, PA they have a paintball eating contest, bealive it or not! I hear that last year the winner got a 2000 STO cocker! sweet! Heck, I'll eat a case-o-paintballs for that!

well i live in Pa and a friend of mine is going there and i heard that they were giving away a Angel this year.(not sure) but all you have to do is chomp down on the balls so they break in your mouth, you dont have to swollow them but that tastes bad enough, Well my buddy has a good chance of winning the gun because he practices everytime he buys a case of paint............yuck
