Milling is when you remove alluminum (or other metal) from the gun body by machine or instrument. For instance, look at the dark angel, the lines, or indentations on the side of it is the milling.
Anodizing is when you electronically (or just chemically) bond minerals mixed in with H2O2 or Hydrogen Peroxide or other various organic chemicals to the body of the gun. It basically bonds the minerals to the area applied to the gun. Splash jobs, and fade jobs require more complicated ways of appliing the color to the gun.

Yep, just like he said. Only thing he left out is that you can only anodize aluminum, because the outside coating is aluminum oxide, which occurs only with aluminum. The coating of aluminum oxide is also very scratch resistant, becuase it is much harder than steel. It's also real thin, so it's still possible to scratch it. Unless your gun is chrome, chances are it's anodized.
