ball detent replacement

help, the detent on my BD musta got dirt ground into it, the ball just doesnt wanna move. its curving my shots like crazy.

does anybody know where i can get a new BD ball detent, or can i substitute a cocker detent? they look about the same size.

have u tried cleaning the ball detent by rinsing it in water? and yes, the cocker ball detent will fit BUT it will stick in to far. you can just put a lil bit of blue loctite to keep it in the right place though.

How does one remove the ball detent?

Counter clockwise or clockwise using a plier?

counter clockwise. use pliers with a cloth so you dont scratch it. try heating it up if it doesnt come loose, it may have loctite on it.
