View Full Version : Shocktech delrin bolts
Okie FINNALY got my shocktech bolt. Id seen em before and thought they were sweeeeettt. Here is my question. The plastic tip is black (as is the bolt) The ones i had seen where white tipped even in the pics. Whats up with the black delrin?? Also i have a TLplus and when inserted the bolt just looks strange from the back of the gun, exposing alot more of the inside tube than the stock. Also is this right or did i get the wrong bolt??
Thx

shocktech makes two kinds of quickstrip bolts...one is all aluminum......the other has a delrin tip....sounds like you got an all aluminum one....

well they may not make them anymore...but I have seen them on alot of the online stores....at least I did when I was looking to get mine....and yeah the delrin is a great bolt....they say a mod stock is just as good....but my vote is on the delrin......

What about the Shocktech Deluxe Rear Cocking Delron Venturi Bolt? It looks pretty good. :)

that's what I have...only it won't strip out of a shutter or TL because the bolt pin doesn't retract enough to clear the stock strip pin and velocity adjuster knob....but I still give it high marks.....and I needed a rear cocking bolt for my shutter so it doesn't really matter to me....
I have heard of someone grinding down the pin a little so it will pull out...but I'm not sure if I want to give it a try or not...(don't want to screw it up)

delrin is a type of plastic...but it is super hard and I think it is almost as strong as aluminum.....but easier to fabricate....
If you do a web search on delrin ..you can find out all about it...(thats what I did)...
they even sell delrin stock....it all different sizes...
hhhmmmmm.....makes me think.,...wonder if a barrel made out of it would be any good.......(might be my million dollar Idea....hmmmmmm)

thats what I do......no big deal ....in my book....and I think it is worth it just not to have to worry about bolt O-rings ever again

its perfectly fine. but is you want to go super low or you want the best for lp i would go for the aka lightning bolt. that is what i have.
