Hi I'm new to the sport of paintabll and i was thinking about buying a Spyder 2 in 1. Can anyone tell me if that is a good beginners gun? I'm one about a 200 dollar buget for everything, not just the gun. Thanks.
Oops wrong forum sorry.

hey boy, welcome to the sport.

i wouldnt pick that gun ive heard alot of bad things about it. if you want a spyder pick up a spyder xtra those are great guns and you dont have to upgrade them anymore because they are good stock and they come with everything you need on a gun. you can get a package deal for cheap but i really dont know how much it is it might exceed 200 bux but that isnt a problem you can just save a little more money but it wont reach more than 300 for the gun and a package deal

One more question. What about a Tippman 98 Custom? There is a package deal for $164. Here it is http://www.xpaintball.com/tipmod98pain.html. If someone could tell me about this package it would be greatly appreciated

Yep its good! but its freaking hard to take it apart!!! I wouldnt buy a m98 as a first gun, get a simple gun like a spyder to onderstand the sport and how its works and ....

go with any gun u like, EXCEPT THE COCKEr,

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID, I bought a cocker for my first gun...SCREWED IT UP!!! Maybe a spyder EM1 would be good, learn from it, and upgrade it...IF U GOT DA DOUGH!!!

I am also new to this sport. I got a Spyder TL+ and Armson Pro Series barrel. The gun is flaless. Never broke a ball or jammed up on me yet in two outings so far. It's also better on gas and has a longer range then a Tippman 98 with the same barrel as mine.

whoever said to buy an em1 is a retard. just to make that clear.

and whoever said that you should buy an xtra because you don't have to upgrade them is also a retard. there is no point in buying an xtra, because chances are you are going to get a new barrel, df, and everything else that you say it comes with.

anyway i would go with a piranha or a tippmann 98. try them out and see which you like

98 customs are good but I woould go with the Xtra so that you can already have a drop forward and expansion chamber they may not be the greatest ones but better than not having em so go with the Xtra

Thats true that they will replace em eventually but this guy is a begginer so its good to have the stock xtra parts until he decides to start upgrading and learns more about paintballing. So put it this way would you rather have a gun with no expansion chamber and drop forward or one with them, if you werent planning on upgrading for a while.

Save up a bit more and get a mag. You can usually find them for great prices on ebay or in PBC & PBN for sale forums.
