Spectra Lens Removal . . .

. . . is a big pain in tha butt!!! anyone have any tips on how to make it easier?

Taking lens out:
1) Pop the middle top tab. Right where it say's JT.
2) Pop out top side tabs
3) Pop out lower side tabs
4) Sqeeze middle nose part to remove nose tabs.

Putting lens in:
Reverse

The more you do it the easier it gets. I can change mine in about 2 min, w/o using a toolplug either.

Sorry for bring a dead thread to life but I thought this could save people some headache.

1. Remove visor and face pieces.
2. Hold on to lower right hand side of mask andwith right hand pull out and up on upper left side of mask and clear upper left tab of lense.
3. Do same thing for right side.
4. Then do the top center tab.
5. Hold on to the top of the lense and with your other hand pull the google down and out to clear the bottom tab and side nose tab.
6. Repeat for the otherside.

To put a lense in do it in this order

6. 5. 3. 4. 2. 1.

It will save your fingers world of hurt

I found out that using a small towel/cloth when pushing those pins on the mask and when popping the tabs to be much easier on my fingertips... :cool: Just my 2 cent

This helped me alot the first time i changed out the lense on my flex 8. I only searched for this because everyone makes it sound like its so hard to change the spectra lense. After the first time, its really easy.
