Just wondering, if any of you heard about the tournament being held at Hawaii All-Stars (Nimitz)? If so, what is the specifics (prizes, etc)?

I don't participate in tournaments yet so I'm not sure. Zenmaster might know something about it though.

AFAIK, it's on labor day weekend, 5-man teams, $40/player and that's all I know... I just heard about it from a teammate of mine, so we're headed out there on sunday to practice w/Damage... you gonna be there? maybe I'll see ya, or get shot by ya ;)

I was there Sunday. We're there mostly Sundays. I was the guy that could not play and getting "killed" in the first few seconds of every game. I am living proof that the gun does not make the player.

I have gotten a few friends (we are all newbies) together to play in the tournament. We do not expect to win, but will be doing it for more of a learning process.

Magnus55, a spyder is good gun. I would have got one if I did not fall prey to the call of the "electro". Like I said in the earlier paragraph, it is not the equipment that makes the player.

zenmaster, you practice with the team guys, man, I feel intimidated when the just look at me. But I would not mind practicing with them.

If you saw a scrub w/a green cocker, that was me... I think there were only 3 cockers on the field that day anyway...

zenmaster, nah, we are going to play in the limited class. I will be borrowing a friends Millenium or Rebel. My friends did not want to play against tournament experienced players.

I usually play with my shocker (I think one of only two out there that I saw). But now, I like using my intimidator. I saw a team guy (Nando) with an intimidator this past Sunday, same coloring as mine (blue fade). Played against him, but I was taken out early. And also, played on the same team, but same story, not in the game long enough to see anything.

Didn't catch much else though, too busy feeling sorry for myself... If we could talk the rest of our team into using blowbacks, we could probably stand a chance in limited... three semi's and two stock class pumps, that would be fun!

Do you know any good places here in Hawaii where I could get a discount on painbtall markers, masks, and paint for purchasing it in bulk? As some of you may know, I just started a paintball club for Pearl City High School and some of the members want to buy supplies and I figure I can get them cheaper if I buy them in bulk.

the first place I'd try would be Xtreme, they might give you a price break if you're mass-ordering... otherwise look at those field packages from NPS that's usually advertised in APG...

I was the only cocker shooter on team Rapture, if you caught any of the unlimited class games...

zenmaster, I played limited. The team name we chose was Darque Templars. Congrats to you! Didn't you guys take first in the unlimited? In the prelims and semis we took fifth overall (out of 17 teams), but did not score enough to move to the finals. But not bad for a bunch of guys who only started playing a couple of months ago.

dude, 5th overall is pretty good! =^) WTG! I remember the name, I thought it was kinda cool, but didn't get to see many of the limited games. Had a friend on that all stock class team, so I tried to watch their games if we weren't playing, but spent most of the time trying to stay hydrated...

and I still can't believe we pulled it off... did you see that game against canefire in the finals????? we were SO stoked when we came off the field =^) =^) =^)

ugh, the last game...
no, actually we had to play canefire first, and they were the top ranked team of the tounrey... and we got the max, in less than 1:30!!!! we WORKED 'em, it was too sweet

our scores going into the game against last minute (last game of the night) were 100 100 100 100 (canefire, empyre, tropical lightning blue and green)... it was sick, I'm still giddy over what we did on sunday ^_^

but 'bout that last game.... our right tapeman got bunkered, and that move was so sweet. one of the team ronin guys was video taping it on the scaffolding, so I got to see it after, from the PERFECT angle, he was right above where it happened

they're from hilo? coolness! I knew there were two teams from maui, both canefire squads, and toxxic balls, but I hadn't heard anything about any of the other teams... that's cool that more teams from the outer islands came out =^) where were you guys???
I played for Rapture... not 'Raptors' like the refs like to say ^_^
I think Empyre ranked 3rd going in... from what I had seen they looked pretty good. I still contend that we were hella fortunate in the finals, but hey, the scores really speak for themselves, and we're all proud of what we did.

to tell from that pic, but I just turned 24... everyone else on the team is under 18. Josh, the capt. (on the left, I got the glasses), and Kyle (far right) are 16, Andy and Ryken are both 17, I think... I know Andy turns 18 pretty soon...
And Alisha is 21 ^_^

No, no site yet, since there really wasn't much to say about us until last week... I'm probably gonna make a page on my homepage sooner or later, now that I've got some pics and whatnot.

Not too sure what's up w/us, though, because Damage has been asking Josh to come back and play w/them, and w/andy and ryken getting to college age, they might be leaving... I got an invite to run w/Ronin, so we'll see how that one goes...

one of our guys is going up to Oahu the 2nd week of november to play on that field off of nimitz, i hope he video tapes some action so we can see the field that you pro's play on.

There are many teams that we never heard before that are a local team. so you have to find it out yourself mag.
