Does anyone out there have a tantrum bolt? How is it?

I've heard that its performance is nearly identical to that of the vapor bolt. Plus the vapor bolt is 30 bucks cheaper.

tantrum bolt has a new design that is 10-15 fps faster thatn the first gen bolt. this is not counting how fast the new design is when compared to a stock bolt. Faster fps means lower lpr psi my T-bolt is on its way i tell u how it is after this sunday.

I put one in my B2K last weekend because I was getting some blowback with the stock bolt. I can't compare it to the vapor, because I haven't tried the vapor. It appears to be very well made, and the adjustment screw to the pull pin is easy to reach. It is a little shorter, which makes field stripping take a little longer. (ie you wouldn't want to strip your gun while playing speedball) It also has one O-ring to form a seal, which is why I bought it in the first place.

My blowback problem is gone; before I put the tantrum bolt in the last few balls in my Evolution II would blow upwards in the stack - this doesn't happen now. Also, the new Tantrum bolt is a venturi design, not an open bolt, which I guess is to help accelerate the paint better.

In terms of velocity, I don't really know because I have a Gladiator reg and mine is really finicky and creeps too much to say for sure whether there is any velocity benefit. I may just stick a Palmer reg on and than I might know a bit better if the benefit of the venturi outweighs the friction of the O-ring.

So, if you have blowback, this seems to work well. If you don't, you probably should save the $60 and stick with the stock bolt. Hope this helps...
