Go witht he CP one piece. What color are you gonna get? I wouldnt get the nickel cause i heard the "nickel" on the barrel comes off every once in a while

Never had the problem with the nickel coming off but....The accuracy is exactly the same, so id get the CP One Piece.

Just got my new J&J barrel today. Haven't shot it yet cuz the paint I have doesn't fit, but I heard they clear up ball breaks a lot faster cuz the paint can't stick to the ceramic at all. That's my 17.6 billion rubles ($.02) worth.

i have exactly the same gun and I got the J&J on the recommendation of a member of Ground Zero and the reviews at this site, and I couldn't be happier. It is truly AMAZING. It cut the sound my gun makes each time I fire in half, and is very accurate. My friend has a Spyder with an All American, and he is going to get a J&J Ceramik because he loved shooting with it so much. At one firing range, I hit a 12"x18" road sign from 40 meters or more fifteen times in a row. That's pretty damn accurate. plus, having gone through two cases of paint, I haven't broken a single ball.
I would say definately go for the J&J.

A Ceramic over an AA? Wow, I wouldnt do that, I never experianced anything special with the ceramic. The AA in the other hand...not that I wouldnt want a Ceramic

i might get too anxious and get a CP cuz its ten bux cheaper but this is a really hard decision. I would get black prolly. what paint do you use for J&J? CP? Thanx so far.

will it quiet my piranha drastically? and how much more accurate will it be?
P8ntballer
08-15-2001, 09:08 AM
If you use the right paint, dead accurate, and it does quiet the gun down pretty good, but not drastically (CP)

How is that stupid, im saying that is the paint that I used in the barrels, and since that the paint isnt different from one another, they shot the same, and I belive I said that too.

umm, u said, for cp use RP premium and JJ PMI premium, or maybe the opposite.. those are the exact same paints for the exact same companies. dont try to cover up by saying, "i was saying that paint worked good for both", you woulda said pmi, or rp (whatever one u wanna call it, usually called pmi tho) premium is good for both.
P8ntballer

So your saying that theres no such thing as RP Premium, I know that there the same company, but thats the only paint that I found to be good in those barrels. I didnt say PMI Premium for the Cp because I never tried it for it and vise sersa.

and ther eis you MORONNESS!!!!! if you've tried RP's Premium paint, you've tried PMI's Premium, they are the EXACT SAME PAINT BY THE EXACT SAME COMPANY!

If you get the cp, buy it off of ebay. I got mine for $32 (brand new), and they sell for cheaper than that sometimes.

Congrats you just placed yourself high up on the list for the retard of the year award. This thread is from 08-18-2001!!!!! Read the stickies and do a search to get your answer. And don't reply to any more threads that are over 2 years old.

AJcool.....I'm agreeing with you.....
Personally I would have never noticed the thread was from 01. And that question has been asked like 1 million times.
Now i've owned both. Here is my answer.....Cp for 1 reason only......barrel diameter. The old J&j's were .691 and it would shoot any paint and never chop. The new ones are .688 and are picky. Go with the cp and get the .689 or .693.
The J&J is Quieter though. I also feel the CP is honed smoother, that does not make it better though.
Here is what I know, hope it helps.....C-ya on the field.

Obviously you did a mighty crappy job searching and reading the stickies since you posted here. Read them again.

Sorry for the bump lol- but I am going to order a 16" barrel soon- and yup its the J&J Ceramic or CP 1 -- Gun is a PMI Phiraha sts g3 or something- its in my sig- I forgot- I use mid bore paint .688 - I read all the reviews and all the forum things I could find and it seems to be they are both very accurate- both dont do so well thru breaks and cost well- like the same price (avarage 35$) Curently I have a CMI 16" Trueflight and am going to upgrade to a cp or j&j - any more information to help me not flip a coin to choose would be great.
thanks

I guess I will go more in depth since some people have trouble reading. Like the stickies say, both barrels will be pretty much the exact same accuracy. However through a SEARCH you will find loads of threads on this exact question and almost all of them reccomend the CP over the Ceramic. You will even find posts from people who own or have extensive use with both barrels. Don't be lazy.

EDIT: Don't say you can't find what you are looking for in a search because there are a rediculous amount of threads on this exact question.
