I have an AKA sidewinder coming and i'm going to get the vapor valve. Should i get a Palmer Rock or a Mitey Max?Which would increase shot for shot efficency and can I can somone tell me the pros and cons of them both.

The Palmer Rock and the Mitex Max are two very different things. First off, the Palmer can be used as a replacement low pressure regulator for the BKO (just about any other autococker low pressure reg will fit as well) when used in conjuction with the new Zenitram (http://www.zenitram-mfg.com) adapter or the Vaporworks (http://vaporworks.net) FMD. It will improve efficiency and consistency. The Mitey Max doesn't require any adapter to fit on the BKO. It simply replaces the stock volumizer. It's nothing more than a bigger chamber for post regulated air. Alone, it would only help with shot to shot consistency. It doesn't do much for efficiency, if anything at all. Efficiency is determined by the valve you are using, your regulators and their setups, the velocity you're shooting at, and your paint to barrel match.

I knew most of that crap i aint a newbie i just wanted a honest on how good each thing is. I think i'm goin to go with the rock just it'll take a little more money because i got to get the adapter and the rock so thats around 80 where is the mitey max is 30. So i'll see how much i can get for my spyder then get the upgrades needed.

I'm sorry if I stated the obvious. Maybe someone less knowledgeable than yourself will benefit from my explanation. It seems a lot of new BKO owners equate these two different upgrades as being essentially the same thing.

I believe my BKO vastly improved when I added the Vapor Valve and Mitey Max. I think most of the improvement came from the valve, though. If I had it to do over again, and the Zenitram adapter was available then, I would have gone with the Zenitram/Palmer Rock reg combination instead. I suspect the BKO's low pressure reg is a primary cause of its inconsistency problems.:eyes:

Actually, and this may have been a typo, the MM's really big effect on the marker is efficiency. It can take the amount of shots per fill and increase it by up to 33% (some reports even higher) It does also help with consistancy. The rock or other upgraded valve will not effect efficency but will make life easier on your niod and give you much more consistant shots over the chrono. I get +/-1 over the chrono. It is very easy to get just the right fps with an aftermarket rag and as the markers consistancy goes up, so does accuracy.

If your willing to spend some money...why not get both?

First get the MM and increase your efficiency and the get the LPR later.

Just my $.02

yea i saw one of those on PBN. I dont think both of em together would make a huge difference ,but i'm goin to see how much cash i get for my B-day and selin my spyder, then i'll decide.
