Ok you are getting shot at and you have no clue where it is coming from.

Do you sit and waite to figure out where it is coming from or do you run in a direction and hope the paint is not coming from over there.

I use to run away all the time but that didn't work very often, now I am more apt to sit still.

What do you do? any other options?

I roll too the ground behind a tree. If the fire stops, you have found the direction of the fire. staying behind the tree i move very quickly to some sort of fortification hoping its a newbe and he hasn't changed possition, i try to get on his six and wipe him out. or i just run like hell and look for another person to shoot

Get as low and as protected as you can. If you can see the paint coming in, You can determine the direction it is coming from. If you still cannot see your oponent, Fire down the stream of paintballs coming at you and then move laterally to where you are being shot at from. Stay low, move fast and try to stay in the shade.

If the firing stops, chances are that he has lost you. He will probably stay in the same spot and attempt to figure out where you went. Use you partial knowledge of his general location to circle around his position and then try to pic an attack route that will give you the most cover and advantage. Keep an eye out for his buddys, since most people do not attack alone.

The main thing is to attack back. Regardless if you sit or if you run, He is making you react to him. you must attack back or else he will control the game and beat you every time.

Its always good to have two of you - basically one can give you cover fire while you move to another bunker. But you still need to know where the enemy is.

When travelling between bunkers its always a good idea to try and slide the last few feet - this give you the proctection of the bunker from a further distance.

Well, once you figure out where he is, you'll have not as much trouble getting to a good bunker. I am a very stealthy player, and the enemy usually ends up firing where I use to be... Than I know that he doesnt know where I am, so I can do almost whatever I want, so I usually get completely around him and light him up like a cigar.

if the shots are hitting something by you, you should be able to figure out what direction they are coming from. then peak out (WHILE KEEPING A SMALL PROFILE) and see if you can see him (or her). then try to get an angle on that person where they will be completly exposed and have no where to go :D

you can usually hear the shots. Look at where the paint splattered and the idrection it splats, the side of the trees it hits and think of where the enemy could be. You have to have really good hearing. Get low and look and try to take cover so that you can focus on one vector of fire.

sometimes i stak and look thru small holes till i fnd em or listen to where the shooting is comeing from. other times i RUN i mean run really really fast sometimes even 35ft to the right or left to flank em but they see it and i get hit 50% of the time but it's really fun and hard and sometimes painfull if the person shooting you is a newbie and does not know what "I'M HIT!!!!!!" means and keeps shooting.

I know a trick; *IF you are playing airball*; put your hand on the bunker. you can literally feel where the ball is coming from.

I think 7 years is a little too long to go without making another post.
