Thanks, Ive been considering getting a 4oz instead of a regular 9oz, or 20oz, or nitro config. I just would like to have a smaller, more compact gun, and a 4oz would help.

500?! Ha, I WISH! When I had my Phantom, I got 250 at the most.

standard figure is 45-60 shots per oz of liquid co2 but there are many many variables

btw neat idea is use 4 oz and fill from a 32oz siphon tank you can get about 6 fills and it makes a small gun very small indeed. It is a bit pricy though but i got the setup from a frien back in the old days. I use it on my pt extreme and on pump when i want to be sneaky.

The number of shots you should get out of a CO2 bottle depends on typically 2 things. 1. The gas efficiency of the valve in your paintball gun. 2. The temperature during play.

Most stock paintball guns have the same gas efficiency so that playing temperature has more of an impact on CO2 usage. At room temperature you can typically expect(its funny, the room is always room tempeture):

7 oz: 250 shots
9 oz: 350 shots
12 oz: 500 shots
16 oz: 700 shots
20 oz: 900 shots
24 oz: 1100 shots
THESE ARE JUST APPROXIMATE TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA

--it does not list a 4oz.... but you can assume that for every 2 oz you get 100 shots.... so probably about 100 shots...

those specs are for semi-auto blow back guns, i know for a fact you can get more than 900 shots out of a 20oz from a blowback gun at that. im gonna get a 4oz & an aci hornet or somthin else, im thinkin somthin for under $100 thats not plastic. there are also mods that u can do to a pump to get more shots off a tank. you can mod almost any gun out there.
