I can get my hands on an armson stealth or a lapco big shot for the same price. With the price tag taken out of the mix, which is the better barrel?

what kinda paint do you use, because the stealth is small bore and the bigshot is medium bore, i think that the bigshot is more accurate when you have proper paint to barrel match in each but, the stealth might be more accurate if you use small bore paint all the time. the stealth is also a lot quiter(sp?).

I use an Armson Stealth on my TL+ and it's really quiet. All you can usually hear is the bolt. I almost always shoot Marballizers out of it, and I shot PMI Premium, Big Ball, and All Stars out of it before. I've put about 700 of the Premium through it and broke none. About 200 Big Ball and broke none. I've put a case of Marbs through it and my friend broke one when he was shooting my gun, I haven't broke any when I'm shooting it. And I shot about 700 All Stars through it and broke one, but after a real quick squeegee and a couple dry fires, I could shoot fine again. I haven't ever shot a BigShot so I can't say anything about that, but a kid I played with last Saturday had one on his Custom 98 and he said he didn't notice any difference between it and the stock barrel, but then I've heard other guys I play with say it's the best barrel they've ever shot through.
Personally, if you're going to be shooting small bore paint a lot, I'd go with the Armson Stealth. I really like mine. It shoots straight, is really quiet IMO, looks cool, and isn't as hard to clean as most people say.

I dont own a stealth, but have had the pleasure of examining one and uing it. It was on a friends customized spyder.
The groves for the rifling are very shallow and small. they do not resemble conventional rifle grooves at all. From his spyder I was able to put ball on ball even at extended ranges. I was very impressed and may put one on my mag. He claims not to have broken paint in it yet. He plays with marbs only.

as kamakasi said depends on the paint. Personally i'd get the armson it is more accurate and just switch paint if nessecary. Id also get the pro as it is cheaper than the stealth just a LOT louder.
Hehehe I just

I have a SPyder Xtra and was looking between a Bigshot, All American, and a Stealth. Which one should I get? I only care about accuracy not noise.

in the (long) time i've been playing since i posted this, i've owned all three. first let me just say that i've since learned that paint to barrel match is apparently the most important factor.
having said that, the stealth that i had on my m98 was great. it was probably the most accurate, and i never broke any paint. i eventually got a bigshot, just to compare. the bigshot was also quite accurate (if it was any less accurate than the stealth, it was so marginal as to be not noticeable). didn't break any paint w/ this one either (maybe i just have good luck w/ paint).
then i sold my m98 and got a mag. the first barrel i bought for the mag was the new style all american. i love the way it looks, but i wasn't all that impressed w/ the accuracy. i did break some paint w/ my mag, but that has more to do w/ the marker than the barrel. so i sold that and am now using a bigshot on my mag. i went back to the bigshot over the stealth just because the bigshot is about 1.5" shorter and i like my marker to be compact.
if you care about cost, obviously the all american is more expensive than either. i went back to the bigshot for the reasons stated above, and because it was the cheapest of the three. so i guess i would have to say go with the bigshot.
hope this was helpful.

i guess after telling you that paint to barrel match is the most important thing, it would help to tell you what paint i use... lol
on the stealth i used mostly all stars and they were great. also used some marbs.
on the bigshot, mostly used marbs and they work good.
on the all american, used team colors and marbs. marbs worked best.
my favorite overall paint is probably viper venom. way cheaper than marbs and worked for me just as well.
