I know that barrell size and paint size has been covered else were many times

but how do you match?
do you match exactly the cal of paint & barrel
or chose a barrell next size up?

will paint deform within reason to fit or just burst.

please help or direct me to a link
thanks

What barrel do you have or plan on getting?

Have not chosen a barrel yet but in the running

AA SS, J&J ceramic, CP

but paint is probably the limiting factor due to availability and cost

Diablo blaze will be the paint of choice and most used

You choose by the bore size.

Most paintballs should say what bore size they go well w/...and they SHOULD say if they are small, medium, or large. Small is around: 0.685 .. Medium is around: 0.689 .. and Large is around: 0.692

Hope that helps.

than .685 is just that much smaller

are the balls suppose to be able to roll out your barrel or get stuck?

here's how to check- put the ball in the back of barrel then softly blow air into the barrel and if the ball goes through easily then it's perfect, if it rolls out before you put air in it then it's too small, and if it gets stuck and you have to push it through with a stick or something then it's too big. Or you could just find an online chart and check the match, both work well :)

diablo blaze is rather inconsistent in bore size from batch to batch imo. a ceramic or teardrop will be good because they are small-medium

the best way is to do see if you can blow the paint out of your barrel. remember you want the paint to sit in your barrel snug, and still be able to blow it out with ease! If the paint rolls, or is hard to blow out, then you got a bad match.
